Lee.... WDYT?
What do you think of the name Lee, for either a boy or a girl?
Personally, I love it. It's very simple, strong, and it has many possibilities for a person. Lee doesn't conjure up one image, it's an easy name to live with.DEFINITELY better than Leigh, in my opinion. Leigh is just a little letter-y, in my opinion. Why spell it Leigh when Lee sounds the same? And no, I don't care if Leigh is the "feminine" way and Lee is the "masculine" way. Lee is listed as both feminine and masculine..Hmm... any combos you like?

Love itBrilliant Blue had almost this exact same thread on February 4th. I don't know how to link to it so I hope you read this in time to catch it before it falls off the page. I also sent you a personal message listing why I love Lee, this spelling, for a girl. I can't remember all the combinations that I gave to BB, but it was long and I do remember: Lee Meredith, Lee Jessamine, Lee Isadora and Lee Christiane.Hope you see this in time. :-)

I am not a fan of Lee for either gender as a first name but Id go for boy name only and only the spelling Lee. I prefer it as a middle name but first is ok and it would be refreshing to see a little boy named Lee because it is kind of dated in the first name slot.

I like it as a middle name :)

I never really knew anybody that went by Lee until last year. Technically, it's my friend's middle name, but he prefers to go by his middle name more than his first name. I think Lee suits him.

I like Lee but only for a boy, though I suppose it's okay as a nn on a girl as that's what I call my friend Allyiah, but I really think it lacks substance on a girl, even on a boy I would want to use it in a double name, like Lee Edward.

I don't really care for it myself. I too like simple, strong names, but Lee is a little bland for me. And I must admit it does conjure up one image for me - but then, I am just one person. But if you love it, more power to you! I guess for combos, you'd have to specify what sort of look you are going for, or what style of names you enjoy - classic, exotic, old-fashioned, popular? Some combos that immediately popped into my mind were:Lee Anabelle (the old switcheroo!)
Lee Seraphine
Lee Clementine
Lee Violette
Lee Jessamine
Lee Gabrielle
Lee Angeline
Lee Emmeline
Lee Rosaline
Lee Isabelle
Lee Madeleine
Lee Barnabas
Lee Augustine
Lee Malachi
Lee Gabriel
Lee Benjamin
Lee Elliot
Lee Frederick
Lee Harrison Any you like?

I don't like Lee at all, whether for a boy or girl, although it is one of the very few names that I think is truly acceptable for either. But it's boring. Almost as boring as Lynn, though unlike Lee, Lynn is definitely more acceptable for a girl.I'm not good at coming up with combos, but I do think that Lee definitely would need at least a three-syllable middle name.

I adore Lee (on my PNL) but for a boy only and only this spelling. it has many possibilities for a person. Lee doesn't conjure up one image, it's an easy name to live with.I don't necessarily see that as something positive to be honest. This is one reason why I hate Anna so much, because everyone can be named Anna, it lacks 'personality' and something extra. To a certain extent Lee is neutral but not so much that it becomes boring, not to me anyway. I'm really bad with combos but Lee Alexander (or Alexander Lee) is one I like. I think Lee needs a longer first/ middle name but other than that I think it goes well with most names.
