WDYT of Alyssa?
Not that many people on here seem to like the name, and I was just curious why. Any opinions or reasons? Thanks :-)

I'm on the fence with Alyssa. One the one hand, it's a simple, pretty name with history...on the other, it was very popular while I was growing up, and I got tired of hearing it. It's okay.

I like it, but I wouldn't use it because it is so common. (at least where I live)

I don't like it because it's too obvious and it tries to hard. Look at me! I end in the ISSA sound! Isn't that so soft and so so pretty! I'm so pretty! And it seems insubstantial, more so than Melissa and Clarissa, although I also dislike them for the same "trying too hard" reason.

I dislike it. It sounds really prissy and weak. And the "yssa" sound is just aesthetically unappealing to me. I also dislike Melissa, Clarissa, Larissa, etc. because of that.

I don't have anything against it but it's not my style personally. I'd much prefer Alice or even Alissa.

I think it's pretty. I love the way it looks. I don't have much of an image of it but I do think it's nice.

I like it, and although it kind of falls into the group of trendy names, i don't think it's a bad name and not as associated with being trendy as other names such as Avery, Madison, Addison etcI think the name Alyssa Phoebe is particularly prettyAny combo's you like? Also i feel it could be a really great nickname for Alessandra which i also believe is a beautiful name :)

Alyssa Phoebe is very pretty :-) My favorite combo, and one I would consider using is Alyssa Marie.

It's all right, I guess. Seems a bit cutesy to me. I like Melissa better.
