Morgan
For a girl? It's one of my favorite boys' names at the moment- I used to be strictly Morgan for a boy, Morgana for a girl, but the more I see Morgan on girls the more it's growing on me. Oddly, that's the same thing that happened to me with Rowan, River, Devon, and my other formerly male-only unisex names... So, WDTY?Thoughts on Morgan? Morgana?Better for a boy or girl?Know any female Morgan's?Combos? Feel free to raid my PNL.TIA! :)

I prefer it for a boy. It's my mother-in-law's maiden name so I would maybe consider it for a middle name for a future son (I don't like it as a first name.)

I prefer Morgan for a boy. I used to think of it as a girl's name, but since I met several male Morgans, now I prefer it for a boy. I have a girl cousin Morgan. Her parents decided on Morgan whether the baby was a girl or boy.Morgan Dominique

I love Morgan on a girl (but not Morgana). Our name for our January baby, if she's a girl, is Morgan Amelia.

My name's Morgan and I'm a girl. So aye, I obviously think it's better for a girl :P It wasn't popular in Scotland when I was born though so the ony other Morgan I've ever met was a 3 year old girl. I'm not a massive fan of Morgana, it's just a bit too frilly for my tastes. Though in saying that, it's what my Dad calls me!

Morgan is very much a boy's name where I'm from, but I don't think it's unattractive on a girl, and I like sea-names. If I was in the US I'd definitely pick Morgan over Morgana, which is too frilly for me.From your list I think I'd go with Morgan Victoria or Morgan Alys.

Morgan to me is still all boy, like Rowan and Devon. I can't take River seriously for any form of human.Morgana? I'm not sure! I know I wouldn't use it, though its dark Arthurian history is fascinating ... but the sound is unattractive to my ears.

I think it's fine on either. Up to you. Morgana has the word BARF stamped over it in my book. I know several female Morgans and they all have the same middle name: LeAnne, Lee Anne, etc.

It's been growing on me too! But I'd probably only use it as a mn. One of my close friends name is Rebekah Morgan (18), and I think it really suits her. I used to think of it as strictly masculine as well, but it does have a soft sound that works as feminine too.

-I prefer Morgan to Morgana; I think Morgana sounds cold and snooty.-Definitely better for a girl. I like it for a boy, too, but I think it just sounds better on a girl.-I've known several acquaintances named Morgan, all girls. I've never met a boy with the name.-Combos:Morgan Elizabeth

I've associated Morgan mostly with being a girl's name as that was the first time I had heard of the name originally. So personally I like it a little more on a girl.Morgana is pretty but I can't help but think of a soceress when hearing this name. (a good thing for me, really)
