Aeson - well, this is neat. I don't know that I would use it becaus eit has an unknown meaning... but it's interesting.
Beau- always liked this name
Carson- IDK... I prefer Karsten in sound
Daymond- not a fan
Elger - Elgin is a bit smoother
Finnegan- begin again
Gedaliah- I think I would actually use this in the middle. neat!
Harden- or soften?
Jeremy- NEVER liked this name. I just think germy and greasy pre-teen with angst
Kenway- or Barbie's way, either one
Lehman- like Lemon? or Lee-mon? I don't care for it. maybe in the middle if it were a family name.
Manley- or Womanly
Nicodemus-epic, just epic. meeting one of these would be so beyong exciting. i don't have the cahounas to use it myself though.
Othman- hmmm, I may be able to warm up to it....
Perseus- another epic one. slightly less epic than Nicodemus, but still...
Reed- it's OK
Scanlon- I want to like this but my mind keeps hearing "scallion" and "scandal"
Tempo- no thanks-
Welby- this is really wimpyAgatha- prefer as a middle name
Beruria- i can't even get my mind around this...
Cassiopeia- and Nicodemus... siblings
Demelza- shoes! oh how i adore shoes!!!

Aeson: Sounds like it's just jumping on the ayson bandwagon.
Beau: Redneck. And I live in a state who's attorney general is named Beau.
Carson: Yawn.
Daymond: Damon wasn't exciting enough.
Elger: Old.
Finnegan: My mother has a neighbor with a cute little poodle named Finnegan. I think it's best kept as a dog name.
Gedaliah: All I can think of is the Gevalia coffee maker.
Harden: Why not just spell it Hardon and save the jokesters that much trouble?
Jeremy: Nice.
Kenway: Good name for a grocery store or a freight line.
Lehman: Best left as a last name.
Manley: Manley and Hardon, the studs of the preschool.
Nicodemus: Sounds like a disease.
Othman: No.
Perseus: Not a real person name.
Reed: Last name.
Scanlon: Ditto.
Tempo: A crappy little car.
Welby: Marcus is less obvious.FEMALE:Agatha: Hard, witchy, bad-tempered.
Beruria: Another disease?
Cassiopeia: Another non-real-person name.
Demelza: Agatha's twin.
Ellamae: Beau's sweetheart.
Gita: Gita Long, Little Doggie!
Hibiscus: Nickname Biscuit.
Jobeth: Icky, sickly sweet sixties.
Kira: Yawn.
Leoda: Yoda's mother.
Mariposa: Pretty in sound and theory, but overblown.
Nidia: Sounds like shave gel.
Otzara: Come on.
Philadelphia: Get real.
Rima: Like half a name.
Sesame: Seedy.
Theodora: Overblown.
Virtue Yeah right.

I like:
Elger - Never thought of it, but I like the sound and it has something like... fantasy adventurer about it.
Finnegan - I used to think this felt too youthful (maybe because of the children's song, Michael Finnegan), but I've come to like it anyway recently.
Gedaliah - Yes, this doesn't get any notice!
Manley!!!! Love love love, as a nickname of course. I should've put this in my list of names nobody else likes down below. Almanzo Wilder, anyone? Who didn't(/doesn't?) have a major crush on him?Agatha
Beruria - more info on this please? :)
Gita - Pretty, never seen it before
Mariposa - I liked this when I was a kid and actually forgot about it. It's a bit frilly, but it's really cute.
Philadelphia - epic GP of course, since I have no connection to the cityHaha, Virtue, the catch-all virtue name? :PI don't know what to think about Tempo. Theoretically it seems really neat, but then I think about it on a person and it's silly.

Finnegan is one of my favorite surnames as a surname. I'm less fond of it as a first or middle name. I prefer Finnian or just Finn.Agatha has been on my mind a lot this week because I just rewatched one of my favorite Doctor Who episodes, "The Unicorn and the Wasp," last weekend. Agatha Christie is in that one and hearing the name Agatha said throughout the episode just reminded me of how much I love the name.Kira is a guilty pleasure of mine.Theodora is a beautiful name. I like that it has so many nickname options as well. My favorites are Theda, Thera, Thea, Thora, and Dory.

:-)Aeson -- Neat. I almost want to type Aesop, but that's a cool association / reference point so it ends up being a plus.Jeremy -- Love it. It's so warm and friendly.Nicodemus -- Love it. Darn that "Nicoderm" product. It's ruining a great name for a whole generation.Perseus -- I'm glad it's getting more attention. Percy is a cute nn.Agatha -- !!! Adore her. Agatha Bluebell adn Agatha Plum are my GP combos for her. She's so sweet and loopy.Cassiopeia -- So much fun to say out loud. With the obvious nn Cassie I wonder why this one isn't more popular. That's a lie. I (think I) know what it is: "PEE" and frightening vowel clusters. *sigh*Demelza -- Heaven bless Ms Rowling for introducing a new generation to great names like Demelza which would have been on the endangered species list by now if not for her. I fell in love with the name in the 1970s with the BBC drama "Poldark." The part of Demelza was played by an actress named Angharad. Two name crushes with one character. :-DEllamae -- Make it Ella Mae and I'm sold.Gita -- I knew one once. It's a little harsh sounding with the hard "g" sound (at least that's how she pronounced it.)Hibiscus -- GP only. Could the nn Biscuit be far behind?Jobeth -- Not a fan, sorry. I see the "Little Women" attraction. But it's too abrupt for a formal name. If it's a nn, then fine.Kira -- Love it and Kiril. (Note to self: stop overlooking Cyril)

Mariposa means butterfly in Spanish. :)

Ah! Thank you. I'll have to let that settle in before I can say how I feel about Mariposa as a name. But I do get the attraction now.

Daymond! That's inspired! I love it. Is it just a Raymond remix? I really really like that. And the idea of a person named Sesame is really adorable. I guess because of the Sesame Street connection, but honestly I thought of a dumpling with sesame seeds on it first...

Daymond – yes, it’s Raymond with a D.
