Isabella
So pretty and classic, yet so overused. What are your thoughts on using this name? maybe as a middle name?

Too trendy and annoying. My kids go to a daycare where it seems that every other girl is Isabella.

I've always liked Isabel, but Isabella is way too frilly for me.
Before the Isabella popularity explosion, though, I came across a relative in my family tree called Anne Isabella, and remember thinking how pretty her name was. I think it would work very well as a middle name.

I think it's a pretty name. Maybe a little frilly. I think I like Isabel/Isobel/Isabelle better. But I still like Isabella. I like the nicknames Izzy and Bella. I just wouldn't use it myself because it's so popular.I personally would try to pick something less popular that wouldn't be as dated in the future. But if you really love it, use it! And yeah, I do like the idea of using it as a middle name.

I've never cared for it, sorry. :(I wouldn't worry about popularity if you really love the name. :)

I think like all princess-y names, they're fine and pretty in moderation but once it goes into excess the novelty wears off.

I don't really like it because it's overused. However, I don't think I'd like it that much anyway - it's a bit too frilly and girly for my tastes and I never really liked Bella as a nickname.

I'm completely worn out on it. Every baby on the block is named Isabella, and frankly, I don't think the name is THAT good. It's pretty, and it's a classic, but it's so BORING. Even before it got so popular, it had a timid, scaredy-cat thing goin' on. Bah.

A middle-aged, very dark, overweight woman with a mustache. And very dark hair on her arms, who is a timid scaredy-cat.

I do think it is pretty. I prefer Isabel or Isobel though. It would be a cute middle name. If I had a name it worked with and I loved it, it would be great.

Even if it weren't so popular, I doubt I'd like it. The sound "bella" is just so heavy to me. I like Isabel.

I think it's lovely and delightfully unexpected as a middle name, especially with a starchier first name: Edith Isabella, Judith Isabella, Joan Isabella, Maud Isabella, etc.

I too love Isabella, because it's so pretty and feminine! Unfortunately it's been so popular lately that when I hear it used it's beginning to sound unoriginal and a bit tired. So I'm leaning toward other Bella names like Arabella and Annabella but I'm still a bit wary of those because the nickname "Bella" is being used a lot too! Isabella would be a gorgeous middle name though! I like Jane Isabella and Juliet Isabella. What Isabella combos are you considering?

Popularity aside, I just don't like it. Never have, never will. There's nothing appealing about it to me, at all. Its main components, IZ and then BELL, just sound ugly to me. I've heard it described as "pretty princess", but it's not at all "pretty princess" to me. If it were, I'd like it, because I like "pretty princess" names. All I can think of when I hear it is a middle-aged, very dark, overweight woman with a mustache. And very dark hair on her arms.If a name that I like is overused, I would advise against using it due solely to its overuse, but Isabella is a name that I would advise against and never ever use myself even if it weren't in the top thousand. As a middle name, if it were honoring, I'd say okay, otherwise, no.

It's a decent name, but most -ella names, including Isabella, are too frilly for my liking. I prefer Isabelle.I think it would be better to use it as a middle name because it is so popular.
