Aria, Aribeth, Ariel
Dh adores the name Aria, and while it's not one I usually list as a favorite, I definitely like it (I forget about it, but love it when I'm reminded of it).
I have a soft spot for "beth" names, and am really liking the idea of Aribeth (ahr-ih-beth) nn Aria.
Opinions on both names?
Also, wdyto Ariel as a boy's mn?-------------------
Love my little sparrow, Caemlyn Sparrow Gail, and my Hucklebaby, David Royce Huckleberry "Huck"

Aribeth looks a little strange to me. WDYT of Aria Elizabeth (nn Ari Beth) or even Aria Beth? Overall, I prefer Aria, Ariella or Arielle over Aribeth. I like Ariel for a boy just fine. I prefer that spelling for a boy.

I like Aria, but Aribeth just doesn't work for me. Ariel is alright for a boy for a mn, as most people will assume Ariel is a girl, unless that doesn't bother you.

I love Aria, as it is simple and pretty. It is modern, yet classical because of the reference. However, George R. R. Martin has made it unusable to me. He spells it differently, of course, but the pronunciation is that same. Positively, though, she's a great character. Then again, he's not done writing the books and torturing his characters. So there is danger here.I like Ariel very much on either men or women, although I prefer Arielle on a woman. I think it you are Jewish, Ariel works as a first name on a son. If you are not Jewish, I would restrict it to the middle name, because the general populace tends to assume it is a female name.

I love Aria! I know many think it seems trendy, and maybe it is, but I think it has a very strong and sophisticated feeling, plus I love the musical reference. I think Aribeth is kinda cute, but I'd go with Ariabeth, like a combined name. I think it sounds a little more complete, plus with Ari being a masculine name I get thrown off a bit with Aribeth.I'm not a big Ariel fan on anyone, but I would love to see it on a boy in some manner.

I have know two Arias (one is under five, and I think it is spelled differently) and I like the name. Aribeth is okay. Aria would be a good nn. Please use Ariel, lol. I would love to use this one a future boy, especially as a first name (but no one will go for that). :)

Aria -I used to kind of like until a teacher that I had repeatedly mispronounced it as "area".Ariel -Reminds me too much of the Little Mermaid. I can't see it as a boy's name (I know it can be).
