Christina Aguilera named her daughter...
...Summer Rain. She joins her big brother, Max Liron, who is almost seven.I think it lacks creativity, but I'm sure she thinks it's plenty creative. Come to think of it, that's the problem I have with her music, as well. :/What do you think? "An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way." -Charles Bukowski

I'm not keen on the combo, but at least Summer is a name and I've heard Rain used before. (At least it's not as bad as Blue Ivy or Harper Seven.)I thought it was pretty funny that little Summer happened to be born during the summer.

I've heard worse......but I think it's a bit silly. Summer is cute, but Summer Rain is a bit too much.

It doesn't mean something like a negative word. It is pretty and positive ;-)

Could have been worseSummer Rain is far from great but there have been enough truly awful celebrity (and non-celebrity!) baby names that I can't get too fussed about this.

"dancin in the summer rain...."That song is all I think about.. Its a bit stupid

I like itAnd that suprises me! I don't usually go for wordy names like that. I do think of the song though :/

It's as weak as Autumn Rose or Winter Lily.
I like Summer, and Rain's okay - but together, how disappointing.

Max Liron is awesome, but Summer Rain? Tacky, even for a non-celeb baby.

They do have different fathers, so I'm guessing Matt might have had a say in the choice for little Summer.

She must really think she's being original, but Summer Rain is just a slightly-toned-down version of Blue Ivy and other such Hollywood phrase-names.
And it sounds like a room deodorizer. Sticking Rain after just about any noun-name will have a similar effect. I do like Summer though.

Sounds a bit like a cosmetic fragrance, like a shower gel or even deodorant, something like that.Summer is fine.Summer Rain is far too sickly sweet and twee.

LOL at the music comment. :) Max and Summer. Not so bad. Summer Rain is a bit silly, but oh well.

Summer and rain are fine names but together, you have to admit its cheesy.

I love Summer, but Summer and Rain together is silly. Overall, though, could be much much worse.

Cheesy and uninspired. Well, I think it fits the criteria of celeb names quite well! Summer Rain has to be the most common double-word name, at least from what I've seen. And two word names together are very rarely a good idea. Oh well, at least it isn't downright terrible. Just...not so good either.

Actually, I think it flows a bit nicer than the name of the daughter of late actor, Paul Walker, Meadow Rain. I just don't care for word names paired together,

Another apt description of CA's music, IMO.ETA: Is it just me, or did she put a lot more thought into her son's name than her daughter's? I know Max has a Jewish father, so I get the tradition there, but it sounds like Summer just got a name that sounds pretty. I hate it when people do that, like the girl's name isn't as important.

I agree, it does seem like often celeb daughters get floofy names while they give their sons something with a reference.

Disappointing. I was hoping for something sexy-jazzy-bluesy. Summer Rain sounds like a body wash from the bargain store.

I think it sounds like a douche.

YES! The first thing I thought of was Summer's Eve. ;-) Summer Rain could be a lot worse, I suppose. My main problem with the name is that Summer and the surname both are two syllables with the stress on the first syllable and they both end in 'er.'

I don't know why I hadn't thought of that before: Summer Rutler. I agree, it sounds bad.
