Flow question. WWYD?
I'm due at the end of December with our second baby girl.
My top name is Emmeline but I'm having issues with middle naming.
Our first daughter is Adrianna Rose Antoinette.Combo one-
Emmeline Belle has got to be my favourite, but we have decided this babe will also have a second middle name, Elizabeth. Her name on paper would be Emmeline Belle Elizabeth, buuuut she would never actually hear the Elizabeth part. When she would get middle named she would get "Emmeline Belle".
I know the whole thing has a lot of L sounds, but like I said the Elizabeth would hardly ever be said, it'd just be on paper. Most people don't even know our first daughter has a second middle name.Combo two-
Emmeline Marie. It goes well with the Elizabeth second middle name, but it doesn't have that something extra for me that Belle has.Which would you go with? Is the sound of something you'd never hear a big deal?

Hope this is not too late, but here goes anyway.I've said both combos in my head a couple of times, and I think Emmeline Belle Elizabeth actually has much better flow. I keep getting stuck in the middle of Emmeline Marie Elizabeth. I have to force myself to finish the combo. So Emmeline Belle Elizabeth GMV.Congrats on the new baby. I adore the name Emmeline! It's on my list as an option to honour my grandmother whose middle name is Emma.

Thank you very much!
It turns out my husband much prefers Marie and he's not crazy about Emmeline, so I'm going to let him choose. But I do appreciate the feedback!

Emmeline Belle Elizabeth is really pretty, so I would go with that combo.

Emmeline Belle sounds better than Emmeline Marie imo, but I wouldn't use Elizabeth as the second mn. Belle is the nn for Isabelle, which is a form of Elizabeth, so you'd be giving her the name twice. As for the sound, it matters what you and your SO feel is more important. Some people prefer honoring or using certain names over flow.

I understand that there is the connection between Belle & Elizabeth but it doesn't really bother me. My husband really wants Marie, and isn't crazy about Emmeline so I'm gunna let him choose.

Emmeline Marie Elizabeth is better. Emmeline Elizabeth Belle or Emmeline Elizabeth Marie would be nice too, the flow is much better and they don't sound like there random names stuck together.

I prefer it with Elizabeth at the end, personally I think it sounds better with the short name in the middle.

Nice ^_^
I'm due early December (twin girls) and Emmeline was on our shortlist for ages. I really really love this name, it's so beautiful. It goes great with Adrianna too.Emmeline Belle is gorgeous. The names kind of melt together and they sound perfect.
I'm not so much in love with Emmeline Belle Elizabeth but if she was only ever that on paper like you said then it's fine. I mean it's fine anyway, but for me just not as lovely as Emmeline Belle! Maybe it's just too long for me!If the sound of something you never hear isn't a big deal to you then it's not a big deal. I know it would annoy me cos even if I never heard it I'd still know it was there and not entirely perfect.
But if it doesn't annoy you then Emmeline Belle Marie is fine.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Do you want in on a Facebook group? There's about 60 of us from all over the world all due in or around December!
What names are you thinking?
I think I'm gunna go with Emmeline Belle Elizabeth, I'm so in love!

Thanks ^__^
And thanks for the invite but I'm good without. Facebook annoys the socks off me so I don't really use it xD
Awesome that you're gonna go with Emmeline Belle Elizabeth!! When you find a name you love its the best thing :DWe're pretty definitely using Maeve Luna and Tamsin Mai. Mai is said like "mine" without the N.
It took ages but these the more we say these combos the more we love them, Tamsin Mai for me especially and Maeve Luna for my boyfriend.
Our son is Leo Alexander :)

Beautiful!!! You have such amazing taste in names, so unique!
As it turns out I was talking to my husband and he wants Marie. He's not crazy about Emmeline, so I told him he could choose what middle name she has as a compromise. He's going with Marie for now. I'll take it!

If you're never going to use Elizabeth, it makes no difference whatsoever to the flow of the name. Period. Done.So what do you like better Emmeline Marie or Emmeline Belle? Obviously Emmeline Belle. So that's the one. I don't know which I would pick. Emmeline Marie is not very interesting, but I am really not a fan of Belle. I don't know.

It's nice to know so many people agree with me :)

Definitely go for the name you actually care more about. Emmeline Belle Elizabeth is really lovely and the flow is fine. There are many other names with the same cadence as Marie though - maybe keep looking? I mean, if the rhythm is important to you.

Belle & Marie are both honouring names, as well as Elizabeth.
They're set in stone.
I don't think i the cadence means more than the name I love, especially since I like Emmeline Belle.

Emmeline Belle Marie would also be amazingly pretty! (I do like the name Marie quite a bit)

I'd go for Emmeline Marie Elizabeth if it were me, personally, but if Marie doesn't have that extra something to you, then I say go for Emmeline Belle Elizabeth. Having said that, I'd really love to see Emmeline Eliza Belle or Emmeline Elizabeth Belle. Can I ask why you're going for two middle names if you only really make the first one known? Simply out of curiosity, of course - I actually prefer two middle names myself.

They're honouring names. Marie is a name my MOH picked because I don't think her name, Michelle fit. Too long. Belle was her childhood nickname. Elizabeth is a name my grandmother chose because none of her names fit either.
I really do want Elizabeth at the end. My first daughters initials are ARA, I think it'd be cool if this one had that pattern as well.
Both of Adrianna's middle names are honouring too. Rose for me & my grandmother and Antoinette for DH's grandmother. Antoinette is her second middle name as well.
Lots of DH's (including DH) family has two middle names.

Ooh, I see! I've thought about letting the people I'd like to honour choose names if I don't feel like they work with the first names I choose, it's really a nice idea. Antoinette is such a cool name to have in your family!

It actually went pretty well. We're keeping our first name choices secret except for the people we're honouring.
MOH gave me quite a long list and let me choose, then I realized how much I liked Belle. When I asked my grandma to choose a name she said Elizabeth right away. It's her favourite girl name and my Aunt's middle name as well.
When we thought we were gunna go with Scarlett as a first name I asked her if she could think of an S name, which she had no problem with at all.
