Re: Please help me choose a name for my daughter

My favorite, by far, is Alice.
I intensely, intensely dislike Liesl.
Lux and Poppy live in the land of the absurd, sorry.
All the others fill some middle ground:
Amelie -- don't like much.
Annabel -- OK but trendy.
Arden -- fine on a boy, not so fine on a girl.
Charlotte -- nice.
Caroline -- a solid classic.
Elena -- nice.
Eleanor -- good, solid classic.
Isla -- don't like much. Trendy.
Isabelle -- too popular.
Isobel -- not sure if this is pronounced with a long O. Don't think so, but why muddy the picture? Don't like this.
Juliet -- fine but a bit prissy.
Kiera -- as someone mentioned, another name with pronunciation issues.
Laura -- I like this almost as much as Alice.
Louisa -- a bit prissy but still, a nice one.
Mia -- somewhat insubstantial but OK I suppose.
Matilda -- OK.
Molly -- This was the name of my first stuffed rabbit and I can't shake the association.
Niamh -- Now talk about your pronunciation issues....
Rosalie -- fussy and prissy.
Scarlett -- so-so
