Less Than Two Stars
Inspired by Ottilie's post, here are the names from my list, with at least 5 votes, that are rated at 39% or less. Names that are specified on the list as middle only will be indicated here as well. Names separated by a slash have the same ranking. Ones that I am particularly fond of will be marked with an asterisk.
Let me know what you think! What are your impressions of the names? Do you think they deserve the low ratings?
Agatha / Agnes 32%
Verity 33%
Edith* 35%
Cora* 37%
Sophronia 38%
Mackenzie 27%
Ignatius (middle) 35%
Tristram* 37%
Linus / Phineas (middle) 39%
I'll be doing a "top rated" post later.

Agatha / Agnes 32% I like them both but not enough to use, mainly I think because I'm not keen on Aggie (though the only one I know is delightful)
Verity 33% - with Clemency and Joy, it's top of my virtue name pops
Edith* 35% - my MIL and an acquaintance from school combine to put me off, but as a name it's better than just OK
Cora* 37% - sounds like a hungry crow; Coralie, however, is one of the very best.
Sophronia 38% - too complicated; Sophia is much better
Mackenzie 27% - just not a fn to me
Ignatius (middle) 35% - gets used where I live, but I don't like the nn forms
Tristram* 37% - prefer Tristan
Linus / Phineas (middle) 39% - I prefer Linus, but only as a mn: the Peanuts character actually killed it, I think. Imagine a lifetime of blanket jokes.

I love Cora, I don't get why it has such low ratings when names such as Bailey have higher ratings.
I also think Edith doesn't deserve such low ratings but I don't really like it.

Interesting!
Agatha - Firstly, you've just made me realise this is not on my list, and I don't know why. I've adored it for some time, as an Agatha Christie fan. I don't think it deserves such a low rating, but I'm not surprised, either.
Agnes - I love it. It has a rating of 50% on my list, haha.
Verity - I go back and forth on my feelings towards Verity, but I'm liking it lately. The rating doesn't surprise me, though.
Edith - LOVE Edith. Endlessly.
Cora - something about Cora has always bothered me and I can never quite put my finger on it. I should like the name, really.
Sophornia - It has a combination of letters I'm just not a fan of, I'm afraid.
Mackenzie - Honestly, personally, I'd rate this half a star at most. It makes me cringe.
Ignatius - I can see the appeal, but I'm not a fan.
Tristram - Darling. It's at 70% for me.
Linus - Love.
Phineas - My feelings towards it vary. It isn't too terrible.

I go back and forth on Verity too.
Mackenzie was one of my top names for a boy for awhile. I used to think it would be unbelievably attractive on a man and cute/nice on a boy. I still feel that way if I stop to picture it, but somehow, I'm not very keen on it anymore. I've never taken it off my list though.
My love for Phineas has waned as well, but I still sometimes find myself liking it in the middle slot, so I haven't taken it off. I should probably add the "Middle Only" bit to it though.

Agatha / Agnes 32% - love Agatha; respect Agnes but tend to enjoy more as a middle
Verity 33% - nice
Edith* 35% - wouldn't choose it myself but don't dislike
Cora* 37% - what?!; love Cora
Sophronia 38% - never drawn to it
Mackenzie 27% - okay on a boy
Ignatius (middle) 35% - never drawn to it
Tristram* 37% - a bit tongue twisty-feeling; respect but prefer Tristan
Linus / Phineas (middle) 39 - love Linus; respect Phineas but not drawn to it
Verity 33% - nice

disclaimer: these are my quick gut reactions, so hope i don't offend with my honest comments (nothing is meant as nasty) :)
Agatha / Agnes 32% - I don't love agnes, but Agatha is one of my GP's. It isn't very nice-sounding, to be honest, but the soft ending sort of saves it. And I like the way it looks a lot
Verity 33% - this is okay. a bit trendy-seeming which is probably why the low rating, plus "virtue" names aren't overly popular I think (though IMO this is one of the better girls' ones)
Edith* 35% - so fusty. i agree w/ the low rating
Cora* 37% - no idea why this has such a low rating! it's so nice.
Sophronia 38% - i really dislike this one. it comes off so nasal and sounds like an evil stepsister
Mackenzie 27% - i'm just not a fan. i wish it had stayed a boys' name. i much prefer MOST of the LN-as-FN's for boys, and this is no exception. not as bad to me as some others, certainly, but i don't really like it.
Ignatius (middle) 35% - ugh. all i think of is a monk slaving over a manuscript. really, that's all i think of.
Tristram* 37% - Tristan is just so much better in sound (a more decisive-sounding name) that Tristram pales in comparison. It's a bit hard to wrap the tongue around.
Linus / Phineas (middle) 39% - don't like these. Linus just reminds me of the Peanuts character who, while cute, couldn't let go of his blankie (not great association for a future man) and Phineas sounds whiney and so old-fashioned (see Ignatius).

I really like Cora, though I'm around neutral on the others.
