1. I like Elliot much more than Charles, but if I had to use them together, I'd choose Charles Elliot. It flows better than Elliot Charles. 2. I pronounce it by the Polish way her-MEE-nyah. If I'd read an English text or talk to an English girl, I would probably pronounce it her-MEEN-ee-ah. It's beautiful name, cute, gentle, but strong at the same time. I like it. About few years ago I read a Polish book, and there was a girl named Herminia, with a wonderful diminutive Hermisia (her-MEE-shah). It is sweet. A diminutive which I also like is Minnie or Minia. A similar name which I like is Hermina.

1. Elliot Charles! :D2. Probably her-MEE-nuh, but I'm generally terrible at figuring out how to pronounce stuff. :P

Charles Elliot.Her-MIN-ee-ah. But that's just a punt, so to speak, at it;I'm not familiar with the name. I don't like it a lot, but it may grow on me! Don't dislike it.

1. Charles Elliot, but I would call him Chet or Chaz.2. I don't like it in the slightest, so I wouldn't have to pronounce it.

1. Charles Elliot
2. Herminia -- her-MEEN-ee-uh; No, sorry, I don't care for it.

Charles Elliot, since Elliot is one of my least favourite boys names.Her-MIN-ee-a.

1. Elliot Charles, since I really dislike Charles.
2. hur-MIN-ee-ah. I think it's horribly ugly, sorry.

Charles Elliother-min-ee-ah was my first thought since I didn't know what language it came from without looking it up.

1.) Charles Elliott has an easier flow for me.2.) I'd pronounce it Her-min-ee-a. I don't really like it (makes me think of Herman, which I'm not a fan of.)

Charles ElliotI'd pronounce it her-min-ee-ah. I don't really like it, but it is cute.

Elliot Charles. Whilst Charles nn Charlie is nice enough, I much prefer ElliotHer-min-ee-a. I don't like it, though I like Hermia and Hermione

Kinda funny. I have two bunnies, named Elliot and Hermione. Father and daughter, actually. :) I prefer Elliot Charles, because Elliot is far nicer than Charles.
I'm not a big fan of Herminia though, but I would prn it something like her-MEEN-yah.

1. I prefer Charles Elliot.2. I'd pronounce it hehr-MEE-nee-ah. It sounds too much like Arminia which is something quite a few football (soccer) clubs are called around here.

1 I'd go with Charles Elliot. I like both names, but Elliot is a shade too preppy/yuppie for my style and Charlie sounds friendlier.2 "Her mini uh." A lot like the way I say Virginia. I think it's okay.

1. While I like Elliot as a first name better. Charles Elliot has a better cadence to me. 2. I would pronounce Herminia as her-min-ee-yah. I do like it. In fact, a friend of mine recently named her daughter Isabel Hermina and I thought how much prettier the -a ending made the name.

Hermina is very pretty. :) I am looking for an alternative to Hermia and Hermione. I like both, but Hermia reminds me of hernia, and Hermione is too Harry Potter.

1. Charles Elliot. I'm really not a fan of Elliot.2. Her-MEE-nee-ah. I don't like it, I think it's a bit too much. But there are worse names out there.

Charles Elliot, because I much prefer Charles to Elliot.Intuitively, I would say her-MIN-ee-uh. I have no idea how right or wrong that is. I've actually been warming up to the name Herman lately, and Herminia reminds me a great deal of it, so I quite like it right now. Bonus points if I get to call the kid Minnie....Off-Topic, but did the site get an update?

Mike C. posted about an update on the names facts board. He linked the summary...

Ah, I missed that. Thanks for the link! Very much appreciated.
...Although I am surprised that Calix and Lemmy got deleted. Actually, I've been noticing a bit of an upswing in usage for Calix lately. Hm.Octave is fun, though. I like Octave.

To be honest, I was surprised about Mayim getting deleted. We considered that name ourselves, and I found the BtN link quite useful then.

I noticed a change too when checking the popularity of names!

Yeah, I just noticed it when I clicked on Herminia. I like the banners!

I like both of those but I would probably go for Charles Elliot as I love the nickname Charlie. (also, around here people drop their Ts at the end of words, so I wouldn't use a name which ends with T)I would pronounce Herminia phonetically: her-MIN-ee-uh

1) Charles Elliot because Charles has some significance for me and would give me Charlie and Chaz.2) I'd say her-MIN-ee-uh, but I'd be prepared to be corrected. It's ok.

Elliot Charles. Charles is kind of creepy to me, in all honestly, but Elliot is cute. I'd pronounce Herminia as her-MEEN-yah.

LOL I forgot to respond to this earlier but I think it's funny that you find Charles creepy. I can see it.
