Re: If I were to have kids tomorrow...
Emerson Andrew and Matilda Nashville are cute.Sure, Nashville is a little unconventional as a name, but I love that it has a special meaning to you. Also, you have some more leniency inn the mn spot IMO. I feel similarly about Charleston, and I would definitely use that as a mn. Mustard is a cool last name! Matilda Mustard is a little character-y, but not too bad. Would future kids definitely have your last name instead of your partner's? As for setting Matilda Nashville Mustard up for a hard life, I don't think that should be a huge concern. Some people might think it's silly. Unfortunately, kids can be jerks. Someone can have a super common name like Matthew and become "Fatty Matty" or something completely unrelated to his name, like "Four Eyes".I appreciate a good set of initials too. My initials are CAM, and I've gone by Cam/Cammie my whole life because of it. It's always a good dinner party conversation starter if nothing else!ETA what I would name kids tomorrow: Juliet Arrington (family name) or Arrington John (I'm currently pregnant, and these are the names we'll be going with depending on the sex).

Thank you so much for your response, CAM. I love that you got a whole nick name out of your initials! I always liked the idea of creating the initials SAM with the last name Mustard and using Sam as another nickname. I'll keep that in mind for sure. Sawyer has always been a favorite. Maybe Sawyer Althea Mustard (top of my head now). Sawyer Mustard too weird? I kinda love it.Emerson and Sawyer sound a little preppy, but I don't really mind. Anyway, I'll keep playing with it. Charleston would be a great middle name! The last name could go either way. I love the name Mustard so I wouldn't mind passing it on, but using my partner's name (one syllable starting with L and fairly normal) might be easier too. I honestly probably wouldn't use Matilda without Mustard cause I love the alliteration so much, but I love the name Luna with my partner's last name. Emerson too goes better with Mustard, but could work with his name. I also love the name Walter (as in Walt Whitman) and that might match his last name better. I feel like Walter Mustard is hard to say with the Ts and ending ar/er sounds. And Walt Mustard sounds a little more cartoony, in my mind, but maybe not. Infinite possibilities, I suppose. Emerson and Matilda could become Walter and Luna I guess. I like Whitman as a name too, but don't love that it means "white man" lol. But Walt or little Wally could be cute too. Lots to consider for sure! I love the name Juliet and it flows well with Arrington. Arrington is cool for a boy too. Fun to say and not super popular. Congratulations on the new little one!
