Isabel
I know most of you are sick of hearing about this name. But my love for it will not die. It's just so, so, so pretty. What do you think of Isabel? Is it tired? Or can you still see its beauty despite its overuse?

It IS pretty :) I like Isabelle better but Isabel(le) is a lovely name. I was tired of Isabella for a while but since it’s becoming slightly less overused these days (at least in my area), I think Isabel and it’s variations are slowly becoming fresh again.

I like it very much; it'd be fine as a mn or a fn, but I'd be more likely to use Isobel as a fn, just for an added flash of distinction. What I don't like: Isabella (too 18th-century fluffy; unpleasing rhythm) and especially Isabelle unless one actually is French.

I do like the name Isabel, spelled Isabelle, but I prefer Isabella. Isabel looks plain in comparison to Isabelle/Isabella.

Love it

To be honest, I still love it even though it's used frequently. I prefer the spelling Isobel and I have considered using it as a MN as it was my great grandmothers name.

I love it! It's always been my favourite name. It's so beautiful and elegant to me. I've never liked Isabella or even Annabel. Isabella is extremely popular where I'm from, so people just automatically think Isabel is popular too.

I like Isabel a lot, when I think about it. But usually in my mind it's overshadowed by Isabella, because I know Isabellas but no Isabels. I think of Isabel as being fairly rare. I'm not sick of hearing about it. It's not tired IMO, and if it is, it's a lot less tired than Annabelle. Less of a fad name, more classic.
Isabella has become pretty common, but it's like Alison or Jessica I think, stays appealing even after the fad is over.
I dislike Isabelle, as much as Annabelle. It's like Madelynne, overdone.

It's pretty but feels dated. So many of them.

It's okay. Better than Isabella, and better than Annabelle. Less cutesy and overblown than either. But it's nothing really special.

I like it, but prefer Isabelle or Isabella

I think it looks pretty, but I can't get over how it sounds like "is a bell."

It’s the name of a very good friend of mine. I like it, though it has the potential to become a bit dated.

I love Isabel. I think it’s probably in my top ten names. I just think it’s so pretty, girly, spunky... I love the sound of it. I would use it in a heartbeat.

It’s lovely. I still like it, despite its overuse. I prefer the Isobel spelling though.

To me Isabel is not overused at all. Isabella and Elizabeth are overused. And I think Isabelle is used more often too. The elaborations and alternate spellings do nothing for me.It’s a beautiful and under appreciated name. But I’m biased ;-)

I enjoy Isabel, too. I had Isabel Wren as a combo in my Top 10 for a while, it felt quite medieval. The Isobel spelling is okay, but I find Isabelle too frilly. And Isabella is just too much (for me).Isabel isn't in my Top 10 anymore, but she's still on my PNL.

All that matters is whether you love the name and think it’s beautiful :) Go with your heart!

I think it's ugly as sin. Always have.

I don't love it, but it isn't feeling as tired as it did even a couple years ago. I think Isabella "Bella" actually dominated when it came to popularity? It's pleasant enough. I like Izzy as a nickname.Personally, the rounder look of Isobel is my preference.

I thought Isabeau was gorgeous, when I was a kid.
There's a Dido song called "Isobel" that came out around 2000, and I thought the name was so pretty, then.
I like Isidora, now.Isabella sounds really tired. Isabelle is annoyingly close to it. Isabel is nice enough, elegant looking.

The first time I watched Ladyhawke (I think that's how it's written) I thought Isabeau was such a cool name. But good luck shaking the "is a bow" association if you use it in real life. (Strangely, Isabel doesn't get labeled "is a bell," although I get that vibe when it's in the middle name slot.)

The “is a bell” thing does happen. I got it as a kid. Didn’t bother me too much, there are worse names/teasing out there. I mostly only get compliments on it.

I like Isabelle over Isabel because Isabel looks incomplete to me. My friend also Cody's cousin has a daughter named Isabelle
