Your favorite Irish names
My friend's baby is named Eleanor Caitriona. Turns out they wanted an Irish name - were trying to find the right one, or use the mum's very Irish surname. They could have told me that! I could have given them so many ideas. Caitriona is nice though. I think it's a nice name overall. What are your favorite hard-to-spell Irish names? (Maybe as MN for Eleanor?) Saoirse is the one that popped into my head first for Eleanor.

Eleanor Catriona is pretty nice!Um, I am not familiar with Irish names at all, they are exotic and strange to me, but I do recall liking Niamh. Eleanor Niamh seems all right.Others I enjoy (not all are hard to spell but I so rarely look at Irish names I'm just having a good time picking ones I like):Aoife
Bébinn
Bedelia
Biddy - I truly adore Biddy, I'd use it. I was just thinking about this name the other day
Brogan - for a girl only, because it's so ugly and it means little shoe
Clodagh
Damhnait
Dymphna
Fiadh
Fionnuala - I legit love this name. Eleanor Fionnuala would be amazing
GORMLAITH how could I ever forget Gormlaith. Eleanor Gormlaith!
Oona
Órfhlaith - this would be weird with Eleanor though. Eleanor Órfhlaith looks cool but sounds meh
Pádraigín - wow what a badass name, it makes me think of dragons
Siofra
