Never liked it, probably never will.

I like how it looks, and the meaning is cute like Wordsmith pointed out, but I just don't like the sound. Ozzker.

I like it. It does remind me of the grouch, but Oscar is a nice name.

Oscar Mayer. Oscar the Grouch. The Oscars. Yeah, I’m not really a fan.

I like it a lot. It's surprisingly cool on a kid, like Malcolm is.
I worked with a doctor who named her son Oscar in 2002 or so.I don't agree that it seems hipsterish or tryhard. To me, that'd be something like Atticus or ... well, Roscoe (sorry New Chloë)

Beautiful meaningI like the name, though it seems to be overused by people who want to be different.

One of my favourite ever names. Was the name of my Grandad (except he spelt it Oskar) and is the name of my cousin.

Good name. Handsome name.I see it as quite classic. Very charming. Kind of has an old-timey feel but definitely fits into modern usage.

I used to really like Oscar until I found out my former high school English teacher (who I hated) used it for her kid. Now it just seems insufferably self-important. The ultimate hipster name. I've transferred my affection to Roscoe.
