I would use Astoria as a middle name. It's really pretty, though. It would go well with Vivienne, Seraphine, Elizabeth, Bethany, Estelle... anything that sounds French really.

I like the sound, but it just reminds me too much of the neighborhood in Queens. Does anyone who picks this name use it in reference to the neighborhood? Probably not! This makes it feel too silly to use - unlike other place names that are given because of the connection to the place.

I really like it and I like the nickname idea of story. It's perhaps too much as a first name for me but I would be inclined to use it in the middle.

I'd keep looking round for the Waldorf! Rather stay with Hester or Stella: not close in meaning but close enough in sound and without the commercial element.

I love it, as well as Asteria. I think it sounds magical.
