Rafferty makes me think of Jude Law, as it's one of his son's names. It also makes me think of raffles. Just too surname-y, but kind of cute at the same time. I kind of like Raleigh, and only for a boy (RAH-lee or if you're from NC, it's more like RAH-LAH :b), but it's too place name-y for me to ever use, I think. To use Sigourney would be like using Cher or Oprah--it's just a faux pas as those are "one person names" IMO. And I've never found Sigourney to be an attractive sounding name, anyway (and besides, Ms. Weaver's given name is Susan, lol). Royce makes me think of a Rolls Royce but it's not horrible. I prefer Ross, though. Rourke is kind of cool, and I also like Roark, but it's very surname-y. More of a GP for me. (I think of Roark Critchlow, the actor)

I like it, a lot better than Raphael in any case. I'm quite surprised it's not in the data base. I read a book with a character called Rourke, I think it's fine, but I can't picture it on a child. Sigourney is also interessting. I don't like the other two.

To me Rafferty is a dog's name. There was a kid's programme several years ago on Irish television which featured an Old English Sheepdog called Rafferty. My second association is with the blind wandering poet Antoine Ó Raifteiri, which is not a bad association just rather sad. I don't like Raleigh. Maked me think of Sir Walter Raleigh and motor rallies.I do like Sigourney though I wouldn't use it. In the film Spellbound one the spellers has a sister Sigourney. And I like Sigourney Weaver.Royce - don't like.Rourke - I prefer Ruarc - actually I like Ruarc a lot.You like R names don't you :)

Rafferty I used to like this years ago but its no longer a favorite , its okay on someone elses child
Raleigh - no dont like it too similar to Riley which is fairly popular least ways it is the wat I pronounce it lol
Sigourney - Okay on someone elses child
Royce - - cant see the attraction sorry
Rourke - I can remember a freind of mine a couple of years ago saying that this name sounds like someone being sick,So the association puts me off

It's ok. I must admit that at first I hated it, then slowly got used to it, because Jude Law has a very cute son called Rafferty! I like the nn Raf, but personally it's not a name I would use.

Raffery is okay on a boy, IMO. Raleigh's cool, simply because of The Royal Tenenbaums! I don't like Sigourney, but Rourke is okay (not as okay as Rafferty though). Royce reminds me of the car, so not that nice.

I think Rafferty makes a good name for a giraffe.Raleigh sounds like Valley-Girl talk for really.Sigourney just sounds ugly, even if it belongs toa movie star.I know a lady around fifty named Royce, but it seems awfully surnamey to me.Rourke sounds like a burp or something.

I love Rafferty, but its so closely linked with icky Jude Law that it makes my stomach turn a bit & there is a strong possibility that someone will turn it into Raffy, which I detest.Raleigh - I like it for either gender, in a sort of New York Society Way - meaning, I'd never use it but it does intrigue me like the name Topper.
Sigourney - meh, right up there with Mortimer - nothing attractive about this name to me at all.
Royce - like Rolls Royce, sounds like you're trying to hard to sophisticated. I enjoy Rhys.
Rourke - definitely suits my style, however its not quite right. I enjoy Burke immensely though.

I don't mind Rafferty in theory but I can't see it woeking on a real child. It sounds quirky and kind of dashing, but I don't know. I definitely don't like it or love it...it is just ok. I think it would be a great name for a dog actually!
My first associations would be the Australian resort complex Rafferty's and then a fluffy goofy looking dog.I really dislike Raleigh
Sigourney is ok
Royce is nmsaa
Rourke is ugly and surnamey to me
