Alcyone?
Is there anywhere that pronounces it with a silent "e" at the end, making it AL-see-on or Al-see-own. this is how i originally thought it was pronounced befor i saw the key on the page. but i kinda like it without the "ee" part at the end. i was just wondering if this is considered a correct pronounciation for it too. Thanks!~Nikki~

The final -e in Greek names is always sounded, which is why Chloe and Zoe do not rhyme with Joe and Phoebe has two syllables. Of course, there are some little mistakes walking around, and nothing could prevent you from adding to their numbers.

No, it's pronounced "al-SY-on-ee". That's just.. how it's pronounced!
