I love Bianca, and honestly I don't see why it wouldn't be taken seriously. It's a literary name, that is not too common, but not too uncommon.
It is a name I can see on a young girl as well as an older woman. I don't think it is everyone's cup of tea, but I'm not sure that there are any specific things someone could tease a Bianca about.
Hmm... middle names. :)
