I love
Tamar. It's exotic, elegant, but not fussy. Very alluring.
But I can't stand
Tamara, though, at least the American "TAM-uh-ruh" pronunciation. So
Tamar Adina discomforts me a little. True, I odn't say exactly "TAM-uh-ruh" when I say "
Tamar A-," but it's inching in that direction. I think you have better combinations.
Tamar Lilith is lovely. The two names are both exotic. The flow is a little choppy. But as you say it's not easy to find a mn for
Tamar so I'm willing to overlook that minor point.
Tamar Lenka is interesting. I'll bet this is one of those combos that grow on you slowly until you find yourself head over heels.
Tamar Viola doesn't do much for me. I prefer the British, "VIE-uh-luh" pronunciation so I don't think we're saying it the same way. If you're using the "vee-O-luh" one, then the prominent "o" sound turns me off. But it's much better than American, "vie-O-luh," I'll give you that.
Minerva Tamar is stunning.
Love it.
My attempts (sorry for any repeats):
Tamar Inez Tamar Isabeau
Tamar SoledadTamar Lourdes (2 syllables)
Tamar MontserratTamar OliviaTamar Roxane /
RoxelanaTamar LucineTamar ScheherazadeTamar DanielleTamar NataliaTamar Zenobia /
ZenoviaTamar SeraphineTamar PersisTamar SalomeaTamar HestiaTamar Dionysia ("die-uh-NIE-see-uh" or "dee-uh-NEE-see-uh")
Tamar HadassahTamar PascaleTamar Gabrielle /
GabriellaTamar SerenaTamar ValeriaTamar ShoshanaTamar EdurneTamar JustineTamar IsidoraTamar Dulcinea (this has my favorite flow)
Tamar EmmanuelleTamar Ivria (= from the Euphrates
River)
Tamar ElianeTamar VictorineTamar Casimira
Tamar ValentinaTamar ZuleikaTamar RahelTamar Siofra /
ShifraTamar AndrasteTamar Isolde /
EseldTamar LiliasTamar Ishbel
Reading over this list I see I repeated the same flow as
Tamar Lilith and the dangerous "
Tamar A-" sound. But that's OK because they are *my* combinations. :-D
