[Opinions] Isabella or Elizabeth.
I love both these names. I also like them as part of a sibset but do you think that they are too close for sisters?Which do you prefer Elizabeth or Isabella? & Any combos? :]Thankyou.

Well personally I wouldn't use them for sisters, since basically they're the same name. I used to hate Isabella/Isabelle/Isabel when it first started to become popular here in Australia, I just didn't see what all the fuss was about. Then I started to like both versions and couldn't decide which I liked better! I now like both Isabella and Isabelle/Isabel, but I'd still choose Elizabeth. I'd definitely use the nn Lizzie and that's one of the drawcards for the name. The other drawcards being Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice, the fact that Elizabeth is a Biblical name and also it's great meaning.

I think Elizabeth and Isabella are way too close for a sibset. Isabella is a form of Elizabeth. It may not bother most people, but to me it would be the same as having a Jennifer and Guinevere in a sibset. As for which one I prefer, I have always loved Isabella, but the popularity of it has turned me off. Elizabeth is my middle name and I am only now learning to appriciate it. I would pick Elizabeth with an uncommon nn or an unusual middle name(or both!).

I like them both - definitely could be a sibset

Well, it's according to what mood I'm in which name I like more...I love them both. Today Isabella is my favorite of the two, especially for a fn. And, no, I do not think that Elizabeth and Isabella are too close for a sibset.

Elizabeth, all the way!I have a very strong dislike for Isabella/Isabelle. I don't know why -there's just something wrong about it for me. I guess "Isa" and "bella" just don't seem to fit together, imo.But I think they would be fine for sisters.

Yes, they are too close for sisters, IMO, because they are forms of the same name. Isabella is trendy and popular right now so I prefer Elizabeth, even though it's been outrageously overused for centuries. :b But I prefer a classic name over one that has recently surged in popularity (as it will likely go out of style as quickly as it came in).

Isabella and Elizabeth are way too close for sisters. Isabella is a form of Elizabeth and they both have the "izabe" sound in the middle.I like each name on its own, but I greatly prefer Elizabeth. I also like the name Bella. For combos I really like Elizabeth Mary.

They are kind of close, but not over the top for sisters. I think they're both lovely names...very feminine and classy, though popular. If I were to choose one over the other, I'd go with Elizabeth (I prefer the spelling Elisabeth), since it's one of my top favorites. I don't think you can go wrong either way, though. My favorite Elizabeth combo is Elizabeth Maria, but I also like Elizabeth Ava, Elizabeth Raina, and Elizabeth grace. My favorite Isabella combo is Isabella Grace, but I also like Isabella Rose, Isabella Faith, and Isabella Haven.
