I like how Penelope is exotic yet still tradiional with a variety of nicknames like Elizabeth, Margaret, and Katherine. I like most of nicknames I can think of: Penny, Nell, Nelly, Polly, Poppy. I think I like Polly the best only because it is not a terribly common nickname for Penelope but I think it works, and I don't like Polly as a nickname for Mary because I see absolutely no connection there at all.
