[Opinions] Clark & Grace
So, I've been doing a bit of digging, and I've found out that the original last names of my grandmas were Clark and Grace. I've always liked both of these names. What do you think of these names for siblings? Do you think they make better middle names or first names? If you cannot stand either one, how would you honour...
a) Mary Elizabeth Mildred
b) Margaret IreneThanks! :)

I love Clark for a boy, but Grace has never done much for me. A lot of people love it, but it sounds too flimsy to me.I prefer Clark as a first name, but I don't mind it as a middle name. Either way is fine by me.Since I'm not a fan of Grace, I prefer it as a middle name, but it's very overused in the middle name slot these days. It would be a good way to honor your grandmother, though.Clark and Grace would work for siblings.I would honor Margaret Irene by using either Margo/Margot, Marguerite, Irene, or Irena as either first or middle names.I'd honor Mary Elizabeth Mildred by using Eliza, Mariel, Marielle, Mariana, Miriam, Mariam, Maren, or Mary. I like Eliza Miriam, Eliza Maren, Eliza Marielle, Eliza Mary, and Eliza Mariam.

heart heart heart ClarkI think they are lovely as siblings. They suit each other very well and I like the balance between them. Both one syllable, both five letters, both calm and unsassuming and intelligent sounding. I'd use them as first names. And by "if you cannot stand either one", do you mean, as people, or the names? If I can't stand the people I'm not going to honour them. But if I didn't like the names, I'd probably pick a Mary or Margaret deriviative because there are sooo many of those!Molly or Polly, Mamie, Maisie, Daisy, Rita, Pearl, Peggy, Marjorie, Marian, Miriam...Like I might do Marian Eliza & Daisy Irene (I do like Irene).

I meant the names! I love the people. I love Daisy, Pearl, and Miriam too.

I really don't like Clark... but it could be because that's the name of the bad kid's school where I come from. You've got a lot to work with, though!Elizabeth Grace and Margaret Mary (I'd nickname them Eliza and Maggie)orMary Grace and Elizabeth Margaret (I'm a big fan of "Polly" as a nn for "Mary")Grace Elizabeth and Mary Margaret.

For Margaret I love Marguerite. I also like Irene and Irena. I like Elsa and Elspeth. I like many Mary root names. Like Marisa or Marian. But I think Clark and Grace make a great sibset. They have a very old fashioned feel to them as a sibset. Makes me think of Clark Gable and Grace Kelly. I think they would be great as first or middle names. They give off a sense of elegence. The problem with Grace is that you need to find something that matches well with it and isn't too common or boring since Grace itself is such a common name. I adore Adeline Grace or Grace Marguerite or Grace Vivienne. Though if you are from the French part of Canada I don't know how common Vivienne and Marguerite are. I like Theodore Clark and Clark Edmund. Unless I know the surname I find that it's hard to find good middle names to go with one syllable first names. One syllable names almost always go well as mn. That's probably why names like May, Grace and Lynn are so common as mn.

I think I'd use Elizabeth Clark and Margaret Grace. Or, indeed, Elizabeth Grace and Margaret Clark! Mary Clark and Irene Grace would also work.

Grace is fine for fn or mn, but I really don't care for Clark as a fn. Could be put in the mn spot on the basis of honouring, I suppose.

Elizabeth can very easily combine with many names to make lovely combos... That wouldn't be hard.
Margaret Jacinta sounds nice. Margaret could also be combined with many others easily.
Elizabeth and Margaret can both work ok as either fn or mn... though w/ Margaret these days, I'd tend to put it in the mn spot rather than the fn spot as it does feel a little bit dated.

Well, individually:Clark- I love Clark. I think it's underrated and underused. It's very handsome with a slight retro vibe. I would definitely consider it for my own child.Grace- It's nice enough, but doesn't really sparkle for me. I think it's better as a first name- as a middle it's a bit too filler. Less expected as a first name.
I think they're okay for siblings, but they're both one syllable and rather curt in sound. I like to mix the length of sibling names, so I would rather use one of these and pair it with a sibling name that's two or three syllables.
