Ooh, I also like this one. NN Gid. Same drill, let's see some combos, and, really, let's not do any of this dreary "Gideon William" stuff that btners so like to do for some reason. Think of something that sounds nice, not is objectively the best choice.

There is something that prevents me from really liking Gideon, but I don't know what it is. I just can't like it 100%.

I like Gideon a lot, but would never ever call him Gid. Ew.

I would do something extremely biblical, like Gideon Ezra, Gideon Josiah or Gideon Jericho.

Or maybe something a tad GP-ish and fun, like Gideon Phoenix, Gideon Lorenzo or Gideon Dimitri.

Ha. When I was a kid the priest at the episcopalian church was named Father Gid. He was really... southern.
