[Opinions] Middle Name for Eli
I am 35 weeks pregnant and have decided on the name Eli for my son. I am stuck on finding a middle name though... Any suggestions are appreciated! I would like a name that is unique but not too weird. Common names like Joseph and James, etc. are not really my style. Please help!

Eli Harrison is a nice name. I may have put this name on my list if I didn't have a brother by the name of Harrison. (I have four brothers and I wouldn't want them to be jealous because I only picked one of them to name my son after!)

I'm glad you found some mns you like. Thanks for letting us know.Zane is a nice name. It occurs to me that Eli Shane might also make a nice mn. Both are variants of the same name (John). I love both Eli and Evan. But they don't fow as nicely together as some of your other choices. Is Madden / Quinn a family surname? If so, then it works nicely. If not, I'd look to your other choices. I think they will wear better over time. At the risk of sounding rude, may I ask please don't spell Declan as Decklan? It makes me think, "deck chair." That "K" is so awkward in there. I know it's not familiar to most people outside of Ireland. But it's my cousin's name. It would be as strange to me as spelling Duncan as "Dunckan," or Marcus as "Marckus." Declan and it's pronunciation are becoming more known. If you are worried about pronunciation, I still wouldn't do it. It's in the mn position where it won't be spoken out loud that often. To me it's just not worth giving up a traditional spelling for phonetic ease.Good luck and please keep us updated. I'd love to know what you ultimately choose. Thanks!

How about Eli Quinn?

I haven't the faintest idea what you mean by "unique but not too weird," since unique isn't a word that can be modified. Like how you're either pregnant or you aren't, a name's unique or it isn't. No middle ground. I assume you mean that you want something unusual and out of the mainstream, but not along the lines of Khadjunatiaensas (he'd be unique then). I'm still not really sure what to recommend, because I don't know if you're more into modern names or old-fashioned ones, word names or names whose meanings aren't obvious, etc. But I'm happy to try. :DSome ideas:Eli Raymond
Eli George
Eli Lionel
Eli Sidney
Eli Ezra
Eli Ezekiel
