Gosh, they are a mixed bag! Paul Simon and Mick are full of musical tradition ...Yirna is a first - can't say it appeals to me. We had a discussion on Myrna a while ago which I think was largely negative, but Yirna looks like sci-fi.Sophie Lucette Marie-Jo is strangely attractive. Pity about the Sheyla. And, is there a reason esides ornamentation for the umlaut in Mickëlina? I can see the reason for it in, say, Gaël, but here? I'm baffled.

Mickëlina: I guess it could be so that it's pronounced mee-keh-LEE-na rather than mee-KLEE-na. Either that, or they've based it on (fairly common) Mickaël and just left in the tréma because they liked the look of it.:)

I'm loving all the softer names for boys here. Loris, Maé, Mahé (I'm guessing those two are related etymologically somehow?), Gabin (adorable!!), Camille, Loïs, Eden. Loving those sooo much.

I guess alternate spelling is worldwide. My daughter is Clarisse, which is the French spelling. It's ironic to see that in France, someone spelled it Clarysse. :)I forgot how much I like Rene for boys. Some standouts:
BOYS
Eden Thomas Hubert Nicolas
Gabin Pierre
Aaron Sébastien GuyGIRLS
Elena Aurelie Nicole Magalie (mouthful!)
Sheyla Sophie Lucette Marie - because I recently love Lucette
Marceline
Melanie
Brigitte
Idalina marine
Amandine is lovely, though I probably wouldn't pair it with Aline.
