Re: 18th Century Siblings
Classics will always work (Edward, John, Henry, Frederick, George, William; Elizabeth, Mary, Anne, Jane). Royals and nobility are always good to look at because they often set the fashions and tone for the names of the era. For example, George III had:George
Frederick
William
Charlotte
Edward
Augusta Sophia
Elizabeth
Ernest Augustus
Augustus Frederick
Adolphus
Mary
Sophia
Octavius
Alfred
Ameliaor the Spencer girlsGeorgiana
Henrietta
Louisa
CharlotteSome of those are probably heavily German-influenced. Octavius was also the eighth son; I know other families might have had an Octavia for a girl or Septimus as a seventh child. Also, the "i" in Sophia and Maria tended to be pronounced with an -eye- sound instead of -ee-. Check out Jane Austen names too.
