Alice is my top favourite girls name. I just think any age can wear it and it's not very modern but it's not too old fashioned either. I think it's beautiful

Had our son been a girl he would've been Alice Wren.

I am not at all fond of it. To me, it sounds outdated and uptight. Plus it says lice :(

Personally I love it. It's classic and ages very well. I've never met anyone named Alice, so there's no associations with it. Alice Elizabeth

My positive association with Alice is a good friend of mine who is 17.I mostly find Alice sweet and to a lot of people's tastes though for some this might make her plain. Kind of like vanilla. Personally I love vanilla but not everybody does due to it's "boringness". Alice is vanilla. And that isn't bad.

I love Alice, it is one of my top names. I've found it's very popular at BtN, and I have no doubt it'll be in the top 20 baby names in the U.S. in the next ten years or so.I think for a lot of years, people used Alison when they could have been using Alice all along. She was just considered old fashioned for a while -- she now fits it nicely with all the Isabellas and Roses and Lilys.I don't remember what first attracted me to Alice. I suppose just the sound, and I don't have many personal favorite A names. I probably stayed for the great associations and feedback. Sometimes I think about Alix and Alicia too, but I'd be more inclined to use Alice.I think of Alice in Wonderland, one of Tina Fey's babies, and the woman my uncle dated before he passed away. She was so sweet, so strong, and rocked a red pixie cut. Loved her, she's what really makes me think of Alice as the backbone of a team. Alice from the Brady Bunch is also hilarious, as well as a backbone of a team. :)My Alice combo that I'm going back and forth with is Alice Virginia Laure or Alice Virginia Glory. Some others:Alice Pleasance - This was the full name of the little girl Alice in Wonderland was named after. This combo is what attracted me to the name Pleasance as well.
Alice Wilhelmina
Alice Valencia
Alice Valentine
Alice Melody
Alice Memory
Alice Gloria
Alice Wren
Alice Evening
Alice Yvette
Alice Catrina
Alice Isobel
Alice Beatrix
Alice Leatrice - nah too much same sound
Alice Georgia / Georgina

It's a classic name that doesn't sound bad, but it does have a really dumpy vibe about it for me. I'd rather see it than many others, though.

Associations ...? Well, there's Wonderland of course. Robert Graves thought of Alice as the leading heroine of the nation! And I was at school with three Alice people, all cousins, though only one of them used Alice - the others went by mns or variants, to avoid confusion in the family I suppose, though there must have been a better way of getting that right. Nice girls, all of them. And I had a wonderful Alice cat for 19 years, full name Alice The Alley Cat, that being what she was. A bog-standard tabby, but spectacularly beautiful. Her litter sister, whom we also adopted, was Catherine Cat, nicknamed Katie the Kitty. Good little animals.I'd willingly use Alice on a human - I prefer it to Alison, and I don't much like Alicia and Allison. My go-to combo has always been Alice Emily, for a good vintage feel.

My positive association is definitely Alice in Wonderland, my favorite movie. I like it mostly for that reason but I do like the sound of it and how timeless it sounds.Alice Delphina
Alice Clementine

I think it's a nice name. It has a classic and literary feel to it. I very strongly associate it with Alice from the 'Alice in Wonderland' book and various adaptations. I think of a very curious and brave girl with a boundless imagination. It does feel like a very "young" name; I'm having trouble picturing it on anyone older than about 20. I think I've only met one Alice, but she was nice. The mean kids would scream, "Alice the Camel had ten humps!" at her, because kids can be awful when they think they're being clever. :/Alice Maria
Alice Jane
Alice Gwendolyn
Alice Natalie
Alice Catriona Faith
Alice Helena Grace
Miriam Alice Faye
Carolyn Alice Joy
Minerva Alice
Raina Alice

I don't really like it very much. It reminds me of wholesome folks in blue dresses with white aprons (the depiction of Lewis Carroll's Alice in the edition I had as a child showed her in a blue dress with white apron, and the bizarrely mellow housekeeper on Brady Bunch also wore that IIRC). It's a staid and prissy image. I also don't like the way it has the word lice in it; I prefer -ice in names pronounced EES like Clarice and Patrice and Caprice. The sound of it is alright though, and I find the spelling Alys appealing.Something exotic-y with itAlys Jacinda
Alice Morgaine
Alice Ptolemais
Alys WinonaSomething of similar style with itAlice Winifred
