How would you spell...
How would you spell KAY-lee? I am asking because I actually really liked this name as a teenager. I also liked classics back then, like Estella and Isadora, but this was definitely also a favorite. Nowadays I wouldn't use it and I don't even like it anymore. But I was wondering, if you had to use it, which spelling would you choose and most importantly why?

I hate this name. I know someone who I dislike with this name, it's WAY too common, and doesn't even sound that nice (no offence). I'd spell the name Kaley or Kailey. ------------Favorites:Audrey, Martha, Lydia, Phoebe, Veronica, Matilda, Rita, Victoria, Mildred, Edwina, Clara, Jocelyn, Apolonia, FlorenceAnthony, Damien, Alexander, Valentine, Maximilian, James, Daniel, Vincent, Matthew, Andreas, Theodore, Christopher----------------Rate my PNL: http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/166097/112886

I'd spell it Kayleigh because of the Marillion song and because it was my almost name.

Kaylee seems like the most obvious to me.

I have two friends who both mean a lot to me and both of them spell it Kaleigh. As much as I adore them, I definitely wouldn't be using that monstrosity.Cayley probably because it seems the easiest and most straight forward to me.

Kinda depends.
Most likely I'd go Cèilidh or Ceilidh as the 'legitimate' spelling, plus I like how it looks.
But I'd be tempted by Kaylee like on Firefly, which I've only watched a few episodes of, but the character's cool.
Or maybe Kayley because it looks like Hayley = Hayley Williams.
Basically I'm a shameless fangirl ;).

The most common spelling here is Kayleigh. Which I very much dislike.
If I absolutely had to use it I'd spell it Kaley, after the vegetable.

Cayley. I don't have a reason, it just has the elements I dislike least.I went to school with a Kayli, a Kaleigh, and a Kayleigh, and I was never attracted to any of their names. Then I saw Cayley once on a mutual friend and it made me think of the name completely differently.

I have a step-cousin named Kaylee! She spells her name Kaylee, which I like, but I also like Kayleigh and Kailey.

Kayleigh is how my niece's name is spelled but I also like the Kailey and Kaley spellings.

For me it's simply the combination of Kay/Kai & Lee and logically results in Kaylee or Kailee.
A more stylish variant could be Caelie or quite differently as Kaj-Li/Caj-Li.

Probably Kayley. But I also like five-letter names that end in "i" so maybe I'd go for Kayli.

Kailey is the most decent spelling IMO. Kaylie isn't bad eitherI hate Kaylee & Kayleigh\. Any 'ee' or 'leigh"' spelling. I wouldn't use this name but if I did: definitely Kailey. My preferred spelling of Hayley\Haley etc is Hailey as well lol

I like Kaylie

Cayley, just because I think it looks nicer than any other spelling and I like C's a lot better than K's.

Cayleigh and Kailey or Cailey!

Cèilidh I guess. Or Kayleigh, like the Marillion song from the 80s.

I prefer it spelled Kailey. I dunno why.
Kaley and Kaylee are also acceptable, I don't like any of the other spellings.

Kayley. I've never liked names ending in Lee or Leigh

I'd be super obnoxious and spell it Cèilidh. Not only do I think it looks pretty and fairy-like that way, but I could be all like "ACTUALLY that's the name of a Gaelic tradition okay" every single day forever.

I like it spelled Kailey. I think it makes it look more substantial, and I do think it's a sort of upbeat nostalgically-dated name.eta: Kaylee doesn't bother me, either, probably because that's the most common spelling in my experience. I've known one Kayleigh before too, but I think that looks way overdone.

MineI would spell it Caley and claim that it was a surname or something to give it some legitimacy :P I guess Ceilidh would be another option because it is a word. Oh and Kayleigh and Kaylee also make sense to me (Kay+Lee, Kay+Leigh) but I don't like the way they look too much, they are okay. Kayley and Kaley look fine to me but I don't care for them. I dislike Kaylie and Kailey but I don't think they are horrible.I think the worst are Kayli, Cayli, Kaeli, Caili etc.

I actually know of a man whose name is Caley.
I kind of like it on a guy and he's like 30ish so I kind of assume it may be a family name or something for him. The first time I heard it and found out it was the name of a grown man, I was pleasantly surprised.
Furthermore, I have a friend whose parents named her Kaeli. When she was in her early twenties, she had it changed to Ceilidh because she said if she was going to have to spell her name for everyone, she was at least going to have it be something legitimate.
