Aurora DelphineArora & Delphine are a few of my favorites.During recent weeks I "nick-named" a younger lady with the name Aurora; She has blond hair, high cheek bones--with natural pink gently spread, perhaps dabbled, across them--too authentic to be imposed with cosmetics, and she always smiles with a natural & vigorous enthusiasm, so this name of course relates to the morning sunrise.

My favourite is Dorothea Marguerite. It sounds so dignified & elegant. Two of my most favourite names. My second favourite is Aurora Delphine. This is a beautiful combo. I like the way the names work together. They have an ethereal feeling to them. My third favourite is Dorothea Marian. This is a beautiful combo too. It was honestly a tough choice. My least favourite is Josephine Luna, but it's still gorgeous. I like Josephine, but something always holds me back from loving it. Luna is wonderful.

#1 - Dorothea Marguerite I like both names and think they complement each other; Dorothea seems clunky to me, while Marguerite seems sort of breezy, if that makes sense...also I think the combined meaning is sweet.
#2 - Josephine LunaIt seems very likable; Josephine is an old favorite of mine, and I feel like Luna adds a bit of funkiness to it...doesn't stand out to me, though, which is why it's 2nd.
#3 - Dorothea MarionIt's okay. I like both names, but the image I get from the combo is too straitlaced for my liking.
#4 Aurora DelphinePretty on paper, but I don't like saying Aurora out loud.

They are all beautiful, but probably Dorothea Marguerite. Josephine Marguerite or Josephine Aurora would also be lovely.

I love Aurora Delphine! Gorgeous and meaningful. Dorothea is NMSAA, but it does have a good meaning/history and paired with Marguerite it seems stately and elegant. I really don’t care for Luna at all, it seems trendy (will be dated soon) and childlike. Also, what do you think about Josephine Marguerite? I think it would be beautiful.

What's an unpopular opinion? I'm happy to hear any opinion whether or not I agree with it. We live in a world full of different opinions and I don't enjoy echo chambers so if you have an opinion you worry will offend me don't hold back. For example I completely wasn't bothered by Anneza I was just commenting that in my experience Luna isn't a one character name but I can understand how some people may have never had any connection to that name before Harry Potter. It wasn't an offensive opinion and I was happy that she shared it.Even if you hated everyone of these combos I would be fine with that. So don't hold back because of me or anyone else. If you just don't feel comfortable sharing that's fine, you don't need to share but don't hold back because of me.

Favourite is Josephine Luna.2. Aurora Delphine - not keen on Delphine, but prefer Aurora over Dorothea
3. Dorothea Marguerite - nice combo
4. Dorothea Marian - Marian is too old lady/plain/no spunk

#1 Aurora Delphine! I was thinking about this combo a few days back. Delphine is my recent favorite and I think it goes perfectly with Aurora which I love very much!
#2 Dorothea Marguerite - also beautiful but too long for my liking
#3 Josephine Luna - both names are pretty, just not something I'd use
#4 Dorothea Marian - Marian looks too masculine, I prefer Marion for a girl

Ooh, Dorothea Marguerite is so lovely. Dorothea also has many nn options if so desired. OTOH, my youngest has recently become friends with an Aurora in her freshman year in college. Aurora has a gorgeous Italian surname and the whole effect is belissima. Needless to say, I've been crushing on Aurora lately!Faves:1. Dorothea Marguerite -- prettiest and best flow, imo
2. Aurora Dephine -- because I prefer Delphine to Marian
3. Dorothea Marian -- just not wild about Marian
4. Josephine Luna -- not wild about either name; I hear 'Joe's a fiend' with Josephine and Luna makes me think of lunatic, sorry!

Dorothea Marian - flow not so good

Aurora Delphine is my favorite, I may be biased though as my #1 name is Delphine. Wonderful associations! She sounds lovely with Aurora! Josephine Luna would be my second favorite & Dorothea Marguerite third.

Aurora Delphine is definitely my top choice. I love Aurora and the connection to the aurora borealis/aurora australis and the goddess. Additionally, I enjoy -ine names as middles and the 3-2 syllable flow. Josephine Luna is my second favorite. I do prefer the names switched, but it does sound pretty as is. Dorothea Marian I really like Marian, which is why I rank it higher than the other Dorothea combo. Dorothea Marguerite is last because I'm just not a fan of either name. For me, they still feel too old.

In order of preference...1. Aurora Delphine
2. Dorothea Marian
3. Dorothea Marguerite
4. Josephine LunaAurora Delphine flows well, and I think it's a beautiful combo. I've never liked Josephine so it's my least favorite, and I don't think it goes well with Luna either. Luna Delphine would be absolutely lovely as well.

Funny, I was thinking Luna Delphine might be my favorite combo using these names...although my favorite by itself is Dorothea.

I love Luna Delphine but my husband is only okay using Luna as a mn so we would be more likely to use Delphine Luna.

Ranking, ranking ...1 Dorothea Marian
2 Josephine Luna
3 Dorothea Marguerite
4 Aurora Delphine1: I prefer Dorothea to Josephine, and most names to Aurora. Marian is charming, much nicer than Marion, but not as nice as Marianne; however, it's good with Dorothea.
2: Josephine is OK. I prefer Joseph for a boy and wouldn't mind using it, so I've never given Josephine much thought. Luna is a one-owner name, like Atticus, but in the mn slot it hardly matters.
3: I much prefer Margaret to Marguerite, which always seems pretentious if one isn't French. Dorothea Margaret might have edged its way into the top spot, in which case the sequence would have been D Margaret, D Marian, JL and AD.
4: Aurora is a nonsense name unless there is a guarantee that its owner will be a ballet dancer. I can think of few things as sad as a beige, podgy Aurora with acne. Delphine has never appealed to me either; with very few exceptions I don't like spondees and I'd be much more likely to look with favour on Daphne.

Interesting, I've never considered Luna to be a one owner name like Atticus, I assume you mean to imply that Luna Lovegood is the one owner but maybe not. I always think of the moon goddess or Luna the cat from Sailor Moon or my husband's cat that he named after the Sailor Moon character before I think of Luna Lovegood. I also have known many people with the family name Luna like my uncle Fred Luna, I also think of the artist James Luna that I learned about in my college art history class, and Diego Luna from Rogue One. But I can also understand how some people may not know any other Luna's, until recently is was a fairly uncommon name outside of the Hispanic/ Filipino community - where it is a fairly common family name.

Yeah, Luna in the middle slot almost sounds like a double surname to me...I think I'd like it as a MN for a boy, too.

There's a national shortage of Hispanic/Filipino people where I live, which could well explain it!

Hi !!!!Your combos are beautiful!Aurora Delphine is my first choice.
I love both names alone and together they are soft and elegant.Dorothea Marguerite is the second choice.
As above: like both names alone and together. But I prefer just Dora to Dorothea. I mean Dora as full first name not a nickname.Dorothea Marian is the third.
Like Dorothea. Marian is Medieval, literarian and very elegant.Josephine Luna
Despite I like Joséphine it would not be my first choice. If it were Luna Joséphine instead it would be #1 because I love Luna to use in real life too.
