Abigail or Annabel - Annabel, hands down. Abigail doesn't appeal to me one bit.
Adelaide or Adeline - Adelaide. No pronunciation issues.
Cassandra or Cassiopeia - Cassandra, though I dislike Sandra in all its forms. But she was an interesting woman.
Cecilia or Cecily - Cecily. English before Latin, usually. I'd have been Cecily quite happily. but not frilly Cecilia.
Eleanor or Élodie - Eleanor. Never trust a language with diacritals.
Elisabeth or Elizabeth - Elizabeth. Some people try to pronounce the s in Elisabeth like the s in Sally, and it gets tired very quickly.
Francesca or Freya - Francesca. Freya can sound like Fryer and if it doesn't, it sounds like 'sexual partner' in Afrikaans.
Isla or Isobel - Isobel, easily. Isla had its moment of glory and faded fast.
Lily or Linnéa - Linnea without the superfluous accent. Lily is pale and droopy.
Margot or Marianne - Marianne! I'd use it IRL. I far prefer Margaret to Margot.
Penelope or Persephone - Penelope. I'd use it IRL too; plus, everyone can pronounce it.
Rosalie or Rosalind - Rosalie I think. I knew such an awful Rosalind once that my impression of the name never recovered.
Violet or Vivian - Definitely not Violet. But I far prefer Vivien.
