[Opinions] Brennan on a girl?
I'm watching the show "Bones" right now, and at one point they call the main character, Temperance Brennan, by her surname. For some reason I started to really like the sound of Brennan on a girl. WDYT?I also like Brynn and Brenna / Brynna

I like it for a boy, but not for a girl. Though I do like Brynn and Brenna for girls. I did see a little girl named Brenan on a tv show about kids with cancer once (it was pronounced like Brennan).

I don't mind it on a boy, but I find it much too masculine for a girl.

I think it sounds okay if the girl is being called by her surname, like the show. But I think it sounds too masculine otherwise. I like Brenna much better.

I don't usually like surnames as first names, especially not when the surnames are as common as Brennan. I think Brenna is lovely though.Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Please No my son is Brennan! It has remainded between 200-300 for the past 15 years on the Soc. Sec. index. as a boy name and should remain as such. Not to popular but not way out in left field. The boys names are being over run by girls. If it is turned over to the girls it will be just a shame.

I like it, I think, because -an names on boys are so overdone.

I like it...Brennan is on my favourites list (for both genders). Like most surnames it works on either, and it isn't that established on boys anyway. In fact I've never met a real-life Brennan of either gender yet._____________________________________________________________________Elinor"Actually, guns do kill people. I have met a girl named Brennan and I really like it. But it means "prince" so it's more of a boys name. I love Brynn on a girl tho.~Lisa~

Brennan is awesome on a boyI hope it does not turn into a girl's name. You already have so many similar girl's names: Brenna, Brianna, Briony"You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

I like Brenna on a girl and I like Brynn for both boys and girls. Brennan is a boy's name to me as it's very "surnamey". I'm not usually keen on surname first names on boys either, but Brennan is one of the few I do like.!!!!!!!! Ribron, Merika, Cira, Vodar, Varena "Ena", Anderven, Keslad and Tolian.
---- Lidana, Palin, Vidra and Tonet.
