OliverThough it depends on background. To me Leonardo seems over-the-top as a fn on an average anglosaxon person. I love Leo though.

Definitely Oliver. I like the name Leo by itself but I'm not crazy about Leonardo at all. The "nard" part seems easy to tease.

I like Leo and Oliver equally, with a slight nod toward Oliver. Leonardo just seems over the top, unless you are Italian.

Oliver is MUCH better than Leonardo. Leonard, maybe, but Leonardo reminds me of Di Caprio, who I can't stand in the least, and who is a short, unattractive sissy boy. (Sorry if I'm offending someone, but honestly, give me Tom Selleck any day.)Oliver, on the other hand, sounds much less nerdy and much more likable. And I love the nickname Ollie.

Oliver...Leonardo reminds me too much of Leonardo DiCarprio, and I like Oliver more anyway.:)

I don't like the name Leonardo because of Leonardo DiCaprio. I might consider using it if it rested alone on Leonardo DiVinci but I can't stand the movie star image! So Oliver it is! It always reminds me of either Oliver Twist or a british buiness man. Stranger.I perfer Laurence & Owen myself!

I prefer OliverOliver is a classic (Shakespeare and Dickens) and has recently become popular in Sweden. Leonardo is also Shakespeare but seems more demanding, I expect an Italian or a Spanish surname (like DiCaprio :)But I do like just Leo."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)

I love Oliver. Leonardo is just very Italian, and reminds me of Leonardo DiVinci, Leonardo DiCaprio or even worse, the Ninja Turtle. :( I prefer just Leo, as I think it can stand out on its own, and would suit someone who is or is not Italian or Spanish, etc.

I like them both but if I were to use one it would be Oliver simply because Leonardo wouldnt fit to my mind anyway with my other childrens names and The mutant ninja hero turtles are still rather too popular where I liveA childs smile is worth more to me than Gold

I favor Leonardo. I'm not sure why, just the way it sounds I guess. While I do like Oliver, I tend to think of it as more suitable for a young boy.
