In the mighty kingdom of Kriana.
A princess has been born! Two years of marriage had brought Queen Kat and Consort Arthur two miscarriages, but within months after her coronation Queen Kat found ehrself pregnant again. She and Arthur were thrilled and excited, but also nervous and praying that this pregnancy would not end like the first two. But this time Kat was glowing and healthy throughout the entire pregnancy. Everyoen commented on how glowing and beautiful the queen looked, and she herself felt wonderful after the morning sickness passed. She was able to continue her duties and her work up to just a few days before delivering.
The labor was long, but uncomplicated, and Kat bore the pain bravely. She and Arthur were thrilled when their baby was borna girl, as both had secretly wanted a daughter. The kingdom at large didn't really care what the baby was, just as long as the heir was healthy. And she was. She was born long, plump, pink, and screaming at the top of her tiny lungs. She looks a great deal like her mother, black-haired with enormous, startlingly blue eyes. It was those eyes that settled Kat and Arthur on her name. They had wanted it to be realted to Krianan history or culture, and her vivid eyes made them decide firmly on Mirabelle, after Mirabelle the Uniter, also known as Mirabelle of the Blue Eyes. She was the queen who united the seperate territories into the kingdom of Kriana. Mirabelle was also the name of a maiden from an old Krianan folktale who saved an entire kingdom from an evil enchanter. They both agree that the name is beautiful and that both women are perfect people to name their daughter for. Helen is of course after Kat's mother, and Aurora, Anna, and Rose are names that Kat and Arthur both love. The kingdom is excited at the birth of the new baby, and both of their families are thrilled. Kat's father, brother, and sister of course live at court, but Arthur's father Hamish, mother Joanna, and younger siblings Nicholas, Carolina, and Felicia have all been staying there for the past few months to be around when the new baby is born. They are both happy to have their family around them, and even happier to be starting one of their own.
