Opinions on Liam?
I've never really liked this name for some reason but recently it's started growing on me. It's short, sweet and I think it has quite a nice sound. What do you guys think? Is it better as a nn for William? Also, how do you like Rhys and Liam as siblings?

I really like Liam. And i like it as a stand alone name.~Wolfy~

To me, Rhys and Liam sound like kids you would find on a council estate, with a 19 year-old mum. But that's just my opinion...

Ya know, I think that's why I wasn't too keen on Liam to begin with...

I like Liam a lot. For me, I'd use it as a nick for William. Rhys and Liam sound great together, imo.

I like the name Liam on its own or as a nickname for William...I probably prefer the latter slightly more, since it gives more options of going by the formal William, as well.Rhys isn't my style, since I only like it for a girl (spelled Reese). Rhys and Liam do make a nice brother set, though.

I've always loved this name. I think Liam is great. I much prefer it as a full name than a nn for William. Rhys and Liam make a really good sib set, I like it.

I don't like Liam. I much prefer William. And I only like the nick name Will / Wil. William and Rhys would make great siblings.

I've never cared for Liam or William for that matter. The only nn I like for William is Will but still, I would never use it. That said, I think Rhys and Liam make for a great sib set!

I've always loved Liam, either by itself or as a nn for William, but it's gotten pretty popular lately, to the point where I'm a little sick of it. It goes well with Rhys, though.

Liam has dragged & clawed itself back into my maybe category. As of now, we're thinking of using it as a nn for William, but it really doesn't need that (I'm just not ready to part with using Will & DH and I are sort of stalling the inevitable discussion). The main con ~ Is it overused? Slightly but here (BC, Canada) it is still behind Ethan, Jacob, Matthew, Joshua, and Nathan (all names I enjoy, although I far prefer Nathanael / Nathaniel to Nathan) so I've gotten used to the fact that many of the names I enjoy are popular. Besides I think it would work well with Rhys, too!

I love this name. I don't mind it as a full name or a nickname. I think this name is a lot better than Leon.

I really don't like it. I'm not really sure why actually. I just don't like it...
William is nice, but Liam just not. I like the name Rhys a lot, though.

I prefer it as a nn for William. Rhys and Liam are ok as sibs, though neither name is a personal favorite.

I prefer William with the nn Liam but Liam is okay.
Liam and Rhys work fine as a sibling set

Liam has been a favorite of mine for a while. I prefer it on its own instead of as a nickname. Also, I think that Rhys and Liam make a wonderful sibset! They really compliment one another!

Rhys and Liam go well together. Personally I've never really liked the name Liam (nor Rhys), I've always thought it sounded weak.

Liam is a nice name. It's the name of one of my favorite characters in a book I like, Lioness Rampant by Tamora Pierce.

To be honest, is one of the most unappealing names I've ever heard, and I really can't imagine why anyone would choose it. I first heard it when my little sister and her friend were playing with this wretched dirty baby doll and turning him inside out and shouting "His name is Liam!" and I thought, "What a ridiculous name, surely they must have made that up!" So I asked them and they said no, there was a kid at their school named Liam. I laughed out loud and continued laughing in my head for some time after, and eventually decided that Liam was the perfect name for that ridiculous baby doll. Then a few days later I met a baby boy named Liam at the park, and grew somber. Eventually I started posting at btn, where everyone loves Liam, and I got seriously weirded out.The main objection I have to it is a phonetic one, but you like the phonetics so that should be okay. It's also very nicknamey, now that I know it's short for William. It's acceptable as a nickname for William.Rhys and Liam go together well, even though I don't like Rhys.

I really like it as well, and I didn't before until I met a baby with the name. Rhys and Liam are great as siblings! I think it is a cute nickname for William, especially if you like both names, then you get the best of both worlds. As a sibling to Rhys, though, I would stick with just Liam.
