Not Alexanda Shiloh,Sounds confusing like Greek, or Western Drama.I can't decide. So stick to classic names with Alexandra.

I really love Alexandra. Sandy does nothing for me but it's fine as a nickname. I prefer Allie and Alexa as nicknames (I hate Alex too).Alexandra May, Alexandra Jane, Alexandra Elise, and Alexandra Jade are all gorgeous. AlexandRa Rose has too much R and Shiloh is just awful.

My fave Alexandra combos are Alexandra Charlotte and Alexandra Jane, however, I like Alexandra May for you since it has the family connection. Oh, and I've always liked Sandy. Lately, though, I've been reflecting on Xan and Xana. Weird, huh? ;-)Also, my best friend named her dd Alexandra Claire (nn Allie). That's a nice combo too.

I am Alexandra, and I love my name. I am not really a fan of the nn Sandy though. It sounds outdated to me. I think Sandra is prettier.Of the mns you listed, Jane is the only one I really like.

Alexandra is a great name imo. I'm not keen on Sandra, personally, but it has personal meaning to you.Other names lending themselves to nn Sandra:
Alessandra
Chrysandra
Lysandra
Melisande

I like Chrysandra (actually Chrisandra) because its my mother in law's name (Christine "Chris") and my mum's name Sandra combined but I don't think I'd use it.

I love Alexandra, but don't care at all for the nickname Sandy. Sandy was used as a name in its own right fairly frequently for my age group, so it seems so dated and I don't know...just yuk. All I can think of is the beach when I hear it, and I'm not a fan of the beach. I knew an Alexandra nicknamed Sandy in college, by the way.But I don't like any other nickname for Alexandra, either. That's the reason I would never use the name, although I love it.

First off, I like Alexandra Jane and Alexandra May. Secondly, I think it's great that you want to honor your mother, especially with such a beautiful name. Another combo you might like is Alexandra Clarice. Amanda

I'm really tired of Alexandra...However, I think Sandy's quite the refreshing nickname.

Alexandra "Sandy" is wonderful. I dislike the NN's Alex and Sasha on girls. My favorite combo from your list is Alexandra Elise :)Other suggestions:
Alexandra Grace
Alexandra Lynn
Alexandra Kate
Alexandra Bryn / Brynn

Alexandra, nn Sandy, is delightful. I'd say that even without the honor that it does to your mother. It would be very refreshing to hear Sandy as a name again. (Alexandrine / Sandrine and Cassandra also work if you need an alternative in your back pocket for significant others who fail to see the light.)Alexandra May is my favorite from your list because of the family connection. Alexandra Jane is my close second choice. May I make a few suggestions?Alexandra Sophie
Alexandra Zoe
Alexandra Lily
Alexandra Charis
Alexandra Ione
Alexandra Pearl
Alexandra SonnetGood luck!
