Max is cute!
I *love* Charles and Charlie (my dad's name and nn). Charles is more elegant, but Charlie is so cute. I can't chose, but maybe Charles nn Charlie? :)

I definitely prefer Charles with Charlie as a nn. I guess I'm 'traditional' like that. :b Max is one of those names I see as 'ok' as a name on its own, but I slightly prefer Maxwell or Maximilian (love this one) with Max as a nn. Max and Charlie (or Maximilian and Charles) sound great as brothers imo.

I much prefer Charlie. I love that name. Charles is too formal and stuffy sounding to me. Charlie is strong enough to be a full name. I also like Max. I think Charlie and Max would make great siblings. I could see other names that some people consider to be nn's as good sibling names.

I like Charles, but Charlie takes the cake. I think the sibset "Charlie & Max" would work out very well.

I like Charles with nn Charlie.
I met a guy just the other day named Charle with no "s" on the end.

Charles, hands down. Charlie is a nickname, and has no formal name quality to it in the least. It's immature sounding and wouldn't age well. Plus, confusion could occur.I don't care for the name Max, again, because it's a nickname, but I don't care for any Max- related names, either. And, I think all names work in a sibling set, as long as they don't form a theme.

I like Charles nn Charlie better.
Max is nice, prefer it as a nn for Maximillian, Maxwell, Maximus, etc.
Max and Charlie and a nice sibset, I'm just a fan of fuller sounding names.

Charlie and Max sound like terriers to me.I have to admit that I have a certain fondness for Charlie (thanks to my late-90s sitcom of choice), but I'd never use it. I can't stand Charles at all. However, I think that Charles, nn Charlie (or Charley--just remembered I like Charley, like in Flowers for Algernon) would hold up better than just plain Charlie.Max isn't my favourite, though I do like Maximilian and Maxwell a bit.Array
