Welsh BAs
from North Wales paper.(f) Lois (parents Nerys and Alwyn, sister Gwenllian, gparents Rhiannon & Hugh, Ann & Gwilym)
(m) Macsen Wyn (parents Aled and Erika, sibs Shannon and Sion)
(f) Gwen Elin (parents Huw and Eirian, gparents Gwilym (m) & Dora, Tegid (m) & Nant* (f))
(m) Aran Li Rhys (parents Iwan Rhys and Susan, gparents Gwyn & Eileen) - born in Singapore
(m) Ifan Rhys (parents Rhys and Sian, brother Gruff, gparents Tim & Carys, Wil & Ann)
(m and f twins) Lloyd Hickling and Ethni Menna (parents Chris and Gwenan, gparents Menna (f), Dorothy & Jack)* Nant is interesting - it's the Welsh word for stream or brook, I've never seen it as a name before.

I've come across Nanty though, as a by now archaic nn for Anthony.Macsen has totally made my day! Lucky lad.Ethni looks unfinished. There are quite a few women, not in the first flush of youth, called Ethne or Eithne in South Africa; perhaps Ethni is part of that set.

Diolch yn fawr for these, Pie! ;-)Ethni Menna is quite interesting. Do you happen to know the meaning of these? I think I like them.I also like Gwenllian, Hugh, Gwilym, Sian, Carys and Dorothy.Nant is interesting, indeed. I'm not sure if I like it or not...

A chroeso (you're welcome) :)
Sadly, nobody seems to know the meaning of either Ethni or Menna. But they're traditional Welsh names that have been in use for a long time, and they're pronounced as they look - ETH-nee and MEN-a.
