We have a short list for girls..WDYT?
1.Lily Sofia / Liliana Sofia ('Lily-ahna'. Ana honours someone very very special in my life)2.Emilia Sofia (We only like Emilia, not Amelia)3.Elena Sofia ('Ellen-uh' prn only)Sofia is a family name btw. Popularity doesn't bother us. Don't be too cruel with your comments. It's been so hard to narrow it down with Dh. :)Thanks in advance.

If it was me, I'd go for Liliana Sofia - it sounds more special and is more versatile than Lily when it comes to nicknames. The others would all have spelling and/or pronunciation issues that would get very tired very soon.

I'm not worried about prn issues with Emilia, but I am with Elena. It's the only thing holding me back with Elena. Thanks for your post. :)

I like Lily Sofia bestbtw I really don't get ellen-uh from Elena. to me Elena is el-leen-uh and ellen-uh is Eleanor

Ellen-uh is the closest to the Spanish prn according to my family. I've never heard of El-leen-uh before. I would spell it Elina.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. But aww, no Ariana :( I really loved Ariana Sofia for you guys.Lily Sofia / Liliana Sofia - I like that prn. of Liliana, but Liliana Sofia is a little OTT frilly for my tastes so it's my least favourite of the bunch. I much prefer it to just plain Lily though, as I know too many of them. With Liliana Sofia nn Lily, you get both options and she's got a less popular fn to fall back on. I know popularity doesn't bother you, but it may bother her. Not that that should stop you...you have no way of knowing whether she'll love it, hate it or be indifferent to it and same goes for using a really unusual name. I like how Liliana gives you the best of both worlds.Emilia Sofia - Emilia is my favourite of the fn options, and I love the nn Emmy, but I don't like the combo. I don't have a problem with the repeated -a endings, but in this case I find the repeat ee-ah endings too much. Makes for an awkward sounding combo. Elena Sofia - this one gets my vote. I love Elena with your kids names, and it sounds nice with Sofia. This is my favourite (after Ariana ;)Good luck with deciding.

Liliana SofiaIt's the prettiest one, in my opinion.

Lily Sofia/ Liliana Sofia is my favorite. If you like both first names equally, I would use Liliana with the nn Lily. Emilia Sofia is also pretty, but I only like Emilia with nn's Emmy or Lia.I only like Elena prn. eh-LAY-nuh... I feel that your pronunciation might not be the natural one to most people, but if you don't mind correcting people then go ahead!

I'd probably go with Liliana Sofia. Lily Sofia was my first choice, but I am a sucker for personal meaning and though Liliana Sofia is a bit of a mouthful it's still just as beautiful.
Emilia Sofia is cute, but I don't like how both names end with "ia". And Emilia will often be heard as Amelia. I know this seems trivial too a lot of people, but when you are the person who has to constantly introduce yourself and then spell your name *raises hand* it gets really annoying. Especially when they still get it wrong...uggh.
Elena Sofia is nice too, but I instinctively want to say ah-LAY-nuh not Ellen-uh.

I like them all! Elena Sofia gets my vote, though where I live that pronunciation would be a huge pain in the neck. If it's more common where you are, go for it. Otherwise, Liliana Sofia is my pick.I like Emilia a lot, but Emilia Sofia is really "ee" heavy and sounds strange to me.

My favorite is Emilia Sofia, followed by Lily Sofia. I don't care for the others.

Elena Sofia. Definatly.

My vote is for Emilia Sofia. Very pretty. Next would be Lily Sofia, then Elena Sofia, and then Liliana Sofia. Are you defo having a girl?
vote up1
No, We aren't sure if want to find out the gender this time around. So we want to have a name ready for both boy and girl. It's been difficult because Dh and I have different taste in names. I wanted Anna, he hates it. I also wanted Lydia, he likes it, but doesn't want to use it for his own DD. Julia sound terrible in Spanish to me, so it's made the whole naming process really stressful.:)

I've loved the combo Elena Sofia for years, however, since Ana honors someone special to you, I really think you should use that. My vote goes to Liliana Sofia.

I like Liliana Sofia, though I would bear in mind that Lily is currently pretty trendy/common right now (if that doesn't bother you, then I would definitely vote for Lily Sofia; it's pretty and a classic). Elena Sofia is my second favorite.

Elena Sofiahands down - I love this pronunciation of Elena! :) I know of waaaaay too many Lily's. Emilia is nice it just isn't wowing me.

Liliana Sofia has my vote. I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only person on here that loves Liliana. I don't like Lily or Ana as individual names at all, but oddly enough I love Liliana. Sofia is my top girl name currently. I can't stand the spelling 'Sophia'. Even if I didn't like Sofia, honoring / family names trump all anyway.I'm not a fan of either Emilia or Elena. I do think they are good names in general, but I personally wouldn't use either.

I just feel like your family *needs* a Liliana. I think Liliana Sofia has been on your list near the top since you were naming your second baby and I just think it needs to be used! As I've said in the past, it isn't my style but I think it sounds fabulous with your other kids' names and it is beautiful. So Liliana Sofia is my pick for you guys

dittoI agree. Liliana Sofia gets my vote. It has the Ana and the Sofia for honouring. Emilia Sofia doesn't flow very well, and with that pronunciation of Elena it doesn't flow quite right either in my opinion.Liliana Sofia is gorgeous :)

I love Lily and prefer it to Liliana. I don't really like Liliana. Sofia is fine. I don't really like Emilia but it's a fine name for someone else. I pronounce Elena like you do and I dislike it. I do like Alaina and Elaina, though. I think in the US some people may pronounce Elena as eh-LAY-na.How about Lily Ana? For some reason I like that much better than Liliana. Lily Ana has a slightly different pronunciation which I prefer.I vote for Lily Sofia. Or Lily Ana Sofia called Lily. Ana Sofia sounds nice, actually. Do you like it as a double name? Ana Sofia? But yeah Lily Ana Sofia is really really nice!

Sofia has to be the middle name. It's an important family name, so Lily Ana wont work for us. Dh hates Anna/Ana as a name on it's own. He says he knows so many of them, that the name is boring to him, I can understand where he is coming from. We actually do know lots of Anna's and Hannah's, combined we know close to 10, just in our circle of close family and friends. Thanks for your opinions. :)
