Shirin (for a girl) is Persian and Turkish-- I believe it means "sweet."I also like Roxana, famous as the name of the Persian wife of Alexander the Great.Roxy would be a cute nickname.

I have always like Amira but I have recently found Aysel and Zayna which are also very pretty on a girls we also have a friend at our college from the middle east maned Reem and I think that is very pretty on her as well.

I have a co-worker who has a son named Louai (lou-ay). I quite like it and it's definitely what I would call cute.

I think Aisha is very pretty. Jasmine or Yasmin would work too.
For boys, it's hard to pick one that carries over to the US. If you're a white, non-Muslim American, names like Jamal or Mohammed, which are great names, are going to seem very odd.
