Re: James on Girls
in reply to a message by LMS
I know I post this every time that James is mentioned on a girl, but my sister and all my nieces have the middle name James (or Jaymes, ick, for girls). So James on a girl isn't really that insane to me. I don't like it, but it could be worse. My sister is Samantha James because my parents thought she was going to be a boy (after two girls). They kept it because they didn't think they'd be having anymore kids. My oldest sister started the trend of naming the grandkids after my dad since the first one was a boy and my dad always wanted a boy. After two more boys(Kaihl (Kyle) James, James William Michael, David Stephen James), my other sister finally had a girl and wanted to keep the James thing going and thus was Madyson Taylor Jaymes. Way too many y's and James is silly but it's certaily not terrible. If it weren't for my family ties, I think I would like James for a girl, in the middle name slot. I wouldn't want to be a girl named James but I think it sounds good with pretty much any name. My one niece is Kassandra James and I think that's really pretty (minus the K spelling).I think I'd be more put off by names like Edmund, Frederick, and other old man names started becoming popular on girls. http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/139762
