So I was thinking about middle names again and i've come back to
Zoe..
Long story short:
* My grandparents had two daughters:
Jacqueline (mum) &
Lisa, they moved then to Australia and had another child, a boy named
Guy. My grandmother was hoping for a third daughter to name
Zoe.
* The whole time my mother (
Jacqueline) was pregnant with me I was going to be called
Zoe and was referred to as
Zoe (I think mainly because of my grandmothers influence). When I was born my dad decided that
Zoe didn't suit me and named me
Rebecca Simone (obviously mum liked it because they went with it).
* Gran was disappointed, and has suggested the name
Zoe for every baby born since then. Then my uncle
Guy's wife was pregnant with Quads (1 boy, 3 girls) and before they were born they named the girls
Emma,
Zoe &
Sophie. The three girls did not survive and my cousin
Jackson was the only survivor.
I'm thinking about using
Zoe as a middle name because of its significance in my family, for my mum, grandmother and aunt. Would it be strange for a child so share the same name as a deceased cousin? I would obviously ask my aunt if she minded etc. Also what other middle name would you pair with it??
Our top 2 girls names are
Daphne &
Theodora
So:
Daphne Zoe ________ (
Arnold) or
Daphne Zoe _____
ArnoldTheodora Zoe ______ (
Arnold) or
Theodora Zoe ______
Arnold
I'd love some suggestions! We love really old fashioned, not common names.
