Re: What would you name...?
1) a child if you wanted to honor a loved one whose name you don't like:
I'd give them the name as a middle name. I did this; my son's MN is my dad's FN (my dad is deceased). If I'm that motivated to honor someone, and am not just using a name I like that happens to honor someone, I'm motivated and I'm gonna do it.2) a child of a blended family whose siblings on one side were Jude and Cleo and on the other side Elizabeth and Patrick:
Whatever we wanted, without trying to respect the compromises of other couples. Which today would probably be something like Amy or Cyrus3) a child whose first and middle names are stereotypical or very common names from your own ethnic/cultural heritage:
Charlotte Victoria / Nicholas Robin ... I guess. I'm American of mostly British Isles and French origins and I guess these names are fairly stereotypical names for Americans. And I like them OK.4) three or more siblings where the last letter of one name is the first initial of the next:
Alexander, River (f), Raymond, Deirdre, Eric, Claudia- mirfak
