May
WDYT of the name May as a FN for a girl? (May by itself, not short for anything.) What would you pair it with?

I like it! I’d pair it with something complex to offset its shortness and simplicity.May Alexandra
May Felicitas
May Susanna
May Venetia
May Wilhelmina
May Thomasina

I don't like it even though it is my style because of its coincidence with the question word. I hate to think of teaching a little May the difference between "May I?" and "Can I?". May Amarantha
May Amanda
May Eloise
May Virginia
May Willow
May Rhiannon
May Alice
May Georgina
May Victoire

I was thinking May Rhiannon too. I don't much like the name May, though the month is nice, or should be. Also my daughter's birthday is in May. May Reginne?

I’m not into May as a first name. It is just too short and doesn’t have enough going for it to me. I don’t mind it as a middle name or a nickname.

I agree, May is a much better middle name than a first name.On another note, May seems like a really old-fashioned Southern name. A lot of older women are named Maybel, Anna Mae, and the like. Old names are coming back in style, though, so it's up to you.

I like it a lot. I think it has a nice sound, but without being overly feminine or cutesy. I like it’s simplicity. I would pair it with something longer though, like:May Antonia
May Tatiana
May Genevieve
May Ramona
May Wilhelmina
May Alexandra
May Veronica
May Minerva
May Calliope
May Seraphina
