The names run into each other, so the combo isn't sonorous.

I don't typically like Rachel, but Mary Rachel is a nice combo. The -ee -el endings sound good together.
Mary Rachel as a double name is a bit more than I could take. If I met one, I'd expect her to be stern and bossy and... not gentle. But I have a real hangup about Rachel -- real Rachels have been unpleasant in my real life -- and Mary Rachel sounds like an unpleasant nun.

It's quite a nice combo, but a little too old-fashioned and simple for my particular liking (though I'm mostly a fan of old-fashioned and simple). It's not my favorite, but it's still pretty good. It's a sort of 'respectable' combo, where I can see why it would be someone's favorite, even though it's not mine.
It's ok, I prefer Rachel mary
