Michaelis
Thoughts on this name? I think it's kind of cool. **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

I love it. It's very Black Butler to me (Sebastian Michaelis) but I don't think that's a problem.

It's a bit confusing to me. I wouldn't know how to pronounce it. Just "Michaelis is" or "meekaylis" or "miekaylis"? Michalis would make more sense to me. In Dutch Michaëlis would be better to eliminate confusion about pronunciation.

I think it is cool but in real life he'd just end up as Mike.It does look like Michael Is but it is pronounced differently so I don't think that is too much of a problem.Raphael Michaelis
Simon Michaelis
Zachary Michaelis

What about Chael? It might sound like a leafy vegetable but it's better than Mike and makes more intuitive sense as a short form of Michaelis. I like these:
Raphael Michaelis
Lorenzo Michaelis
Gideon Michaelis
Michaelis Oliver
Michaelis Raphael
Michaelis Dante

I can only see “Michael is”. I prefer Michael, even if it’s common.

I like it; it gives a somewhat distinguished feel to a name that is so common that it has become rather bland and unremarkable. The proper Latin pronunciation only adds to this, which I believe should be something along the lines of mee-KAY-lees.
