Noah (f) & Nancy
Two names that have been on my mind.Noah for a girl. Do you prefer the Noa spelling? What do you think of the name in general? And Nancy…oddly enough I still really disliked Nancy when the rest of the BtN community seemed to collectively love it. What do you think?

I do prefer Noa to Noah. I don't mind the name attractive on either gender - it sounds like a yawn. NO-uhhhhhhh. Like what I'd say if I didn't know an answer in class haha. It feels elderly to me, antediluvian - I don't know how it got so popular.I dislike Nancy, it's nasal. I prefer Anne, and even Agnes, though I'm not especially fond of the latter. Nancy has had negative slang connotations for centuries - it was initially a disparaging term towards maids, then towards gay men.

I'm not nearly as religious as I once was but Noah on a girl still feels blasphemous to me no matter how much I've changed 😅 I love Noah, on a Boy. *counterintuitively I also prefer Koa on a girl so I just have no rhyme or reason to anything* I don't care for Nancy. It's just boring middle aged fluff. It's harmless but I don't care for it tbh.

I love Noah and Noa for a girl but I prefer the Noa spelling. Where I live, this name is very common (I remember in school there were always at least two girls named Noa in the same class) so I guess I'm used to it. I love Noah for a boy as well
I don't like Nancy. It gives me an old/vintage vibe that I don't think would suit a girl nowadays. It's a pretty name, though.

I've always loved Nancy, though the only Nancy I know dislikes it and always goes by Nan. I dislike Noah and Noa about equally, regardless of gender. Way too religious for me, and "No" is no way to start a name.

Nancy is sweet, I like it. It reminds me of brave adventurers and heroes like Nancy Drew and Nancy Blacket.
I don’t like this spelling of Noah for a girl, it would get confusing because it’s so high up for boys! Noa is much better, but still a bit confusing.

I also like Ruth! But, Captain Flint was right, pirates have to be ruthless ... good to meet a fellow fan.

I think Noah looks too boyish to me, even though there's the Noah as a woman (Zelophehad's daughter) in the Bible. I prefer Noa on a girl, it looks more feminine. They both reminds me of the Noah's ark story.I quite like Nancy, it sounds laid-back and cute also vintage to me. I would like to pair it as Nancy Veronica.

I think Nancy is one of the less attractive grandma names. It's not terrible but I'd rather use Linda or Carol or Sherry.
Noah is all boy to me. I love it for a boy but not a girl.
