Short Italian names associated with literature are popular on BtN? I am not surprised at all. I do like Dante and Stella, although they both have a dramatic yet ordinary vibe to me.I think I would like calling someone Tylah, even though I don't like Tyler. I don't particularly like Sela, but it seems harmless.I hate Frankie, especially as feminine.
Rowan and Winter are ok; I have good associations with them as words, at least, and they sound namey. I like Peri / Perry as unisex.
My PNLs aren't public. I've got the max amount of lists, and they're so disorganized and redundant, it'd seem pointless for people to vote on them. I do polls instead. Here's some results...84% preferred Odessa to Ulyssa
82% preferred Victor to Velimir
81% preferred Loretta to Lauretta
77% preferred César to Cesare
74% preferred Sage to Wisdom
73% preferred Timothy to Timaeus
70% preferred Claude to Claudius
68% preferred Hadar to Hagar
65% preferred Yves to Ivar
61% preferred Ulysses to Odysseus
58% preferred Eve to Eden
57% preferred Pandora to Portia
52% preferred Jeffrey to Geoffrey

I don't know if you can vote on mine, but if you can, I've never looked None of these names are my style except I do like Frankie and Rowan. I love Frankie on a particularly tomboyish girl and I prefer Rowan as a male name. In theory, I like the sound of Winter, but I can't say I'm all that much of a fan. Dante isn't my style, but it's a good name. Stella I have a hard time with because its a brand of a beer and what's worse, it isn't seen as a particularly good one. It's a drink that isn't seen as classy and is often referred to as "wife beater". I might have liked it a little if not, but I also might not have. It reminds me of "stale" for some reason and perhaps that's just the smell of stale beer in an old pub carpet. Tylah and Peri for me has everything to do with how they are spelt; Major preference for Tyler and Perry and even Perrie, though I'm not particularly keen. I think Tylah has too much of a cre8tiv look to it and Peri looks simply too short and a bit wrong. Not sure what to make of Sæla - it reminds me of Sailor, which I do like similar to Winter - in theory, but not in practice. That's if I'm pronouncing it correctly. If it pronounced like Sela, I'm afraid I'm not keen on it either. I think the main issue that that it's too short without anything for me to associate it with - I generally favour longer names, not as a hard and fast rule (hi Ivy) but in general. It seems incomplete

Thank you for your response :)
I have Tyler and Tylah on my PNL, but I think I like the latter spelling so much because I have positive associations with it, though I can see why it may come across in the way you said.
Sæla is pronounced as SIE-la

I like Dante and Stella and Rowan (only for boys), don't like the others

I like Dante. It's uncommon, but still well-known. It reminds me of a guy I went to school with who was very easy-going and rather smart. Stella is great too. Dislike Tylah, Winter and Sæla. Frankie & Rowan are ok (definitely prefer them for boys) Don't know what to think of PeriI don't have any highest or lowest rated names at the moment since I have so few votes, so feel free to rate my lists ANYONE! 😅
