I have a 4 year old Hermione and I really love her name.
Hermione Ella though doesn't sound great and I think Ella really ruins how lovely Hermione is.

Love Hermione, but Ella to me feels wrong there. It's because Hermione ends with an e and an -ee / -y / -ie sound. It merges in too much. Something that stands next to Hermione that does not begin or end with an ee sound or a h sound would be better.
Eg
Hermione Jane is okay because Jane does not end with an ee sound, despite having an e
Hermione Hannah sounds too breathy because both begin with h
In addition, I think because Hermione is such a long name with 4 syllables, a 1 syllable middle will be best. To me, the following sound more defined and make the name more balanced;
Hermione Maeve
Hermione Rose
Hermione Paige
Hermione Ruth
Hermione Fern
Hermione Gwen
Hermione Dawn

Hermione is a one-owner name to me, and Ella is one of the dullest of the dull. And when said together they merge into Hermione+yella, which is not encouraging.
Okay that's fine I can't tell you what you can and can't like so that's fine.
It's cute, but feels off. I think because Ella makes my brain think it's all one name - Hermionella. So it feels a bit much, like someone trying to make Hermione even longer, even fancier.
Hermione Emma works, but I guess that's too Hermione-y. What about Hermione Ellen? That's cute!
Ella Hermione works though, if that's an option!

I like Hermione. Ella is boring but nothing wrong with it. Ella Hermione would flow better as a combo, but Ella is still boring there.
Not a fan
It's a bit unbalanced. I love Hermione, though.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Hermione; it's just because of how it sounds. It does have a huge Harry Potter association (though, I love the character), and that's another reason I'm iffy about Hermione. Ella on its own is really pretty in my opinion, despite being common nowadays. As for the combination of Hermione Ella, I think that it goes nicely together.
