Male cat names
I've recently been thinking about getting another cat sometime in the near future. Hopefully. 🙏🙏🙏 And although probably not a male, I've decided to comprise a list of names that I would most likely use anyway, just for a hypothetical and fun sense. I mainly prefer human names and also picked names that I probably wouldn't use anywhere else. Here is my short list: Stanley (My go-to name for a male cat. So adorable!)Chandler (Yup, after my favorite character from Friends. I also rather like "Langford" after the actor's middle name, but it wouldn't at all be usable for me. Otherwise I'd probably consider it.) Sam/Sammy is another one I'd consider, but cousin has a kid named this, so that's out.) Giles (After the character from Buffy)Azariah or Azrael
Charlie
Dean
Douglas
Edwin
Nathaniel
Ravi
Ronan
Sidney
Walter WDYT? Feel free to share the names of your cats if you have any, male or female. 🙂"Has the planet gone mad? My brother... passion's hostage. I seek justice! Denied. I shall not submit! I shall conquer! I shall rise! My name is Gomez Addams, and I have seen evil! I have seen horror!"

I like these from your list:

Azrael
Giles (for an old grumpy cat)
Charlie (short for Charlemagne!)
Ravi
Edwin
Nathaniel (Nate?)
Ronan (prefer this for a human though)Some of those names are too humany for me, but most of them I'm picturing an old, gruff, long haired cat. More:

Naming him after Chandler is cuteI'm about to go somewhere right now so I only have one suggestion for now;I think you might be open to calling him Bing. I think its a cute name for a cat imo He'd also share his name with Bing Crosby, just in time for Christmas :)

I haven't thought of Bing Crosby in a good while, although probably since I associate Bing so much with the Character and then the late actor. ); It would certainly be fitting for a Christmas kitty though! 😊 Although I'd most likely would use Chandler, and have Bing/Mr. Bing as nicknames. 😄

Lol, right? I should so do that (I mean, if I WERE to get a male cat) the reaction and looks on everyone in the room would be pretty funny. 😄

When I worked for a pet shop, we were a satellite for the local big shelter and had cats there for adoption all the time. One time we got a cat that was named Phil Collins. I told the manager we should put up a big sign saying "Come in and meet PHIL COLLINS!" It worked like a charm, and the shelter started giving more cats "celebrity" names as a result! I've seen signs for meet and greets with all kinds of "celebrities" at local pet shops since then!

This makes me think it would be fun to name a cat Fred Titmus.

Wow, love that! Very awesome. 😄 I can just imagine the looks on people faces when they looked at the sign. "Oh wow, Phil Collins!" 😅 There haven't been many "celebrity" or celebrity inspired names at shelters or pet shops near me. I think apart from the whimsical twist on Katy Perry (Kitty Purry) there was a Tim Robbins. A few others as well, but certainly not many.

Cute! I love people names on cats. I'd love to have a cat named Walter!! And Stanley or Douglas the cat would be amazing. Right now I have cats named Vincent "Vinnie" (a lady cat) and..... Orange. Orange's name was originally "Simba" and that won't do. The family is still working through ideas for him. My brother insisted on calling him Jules, but it wouldn't stick. My mom calls him "Pablo". My husband and I call him Orange, Naranja, Ranja, Randy, Randall, and Stinky Pete. This poor orange cat. He has more names than brain cells. I think it might have to be Randall Pablo AKA Orange AKA Naranja AKA Stinky Pete, in the end.Other names I thought of for Orange:Carl
Roger, Rogerio
Kevin
Colin
Kyle
My other cats all had mostly funny names. Baby Bear, Bijou, Dracul, Cricket, Pretty-Pretty. Interestingly, I always intend to give them very fancy names, but in the end they all have silly ones. I guess I'm just a silly namer. The names of my friend's cats:Rocky
Cleo
Ben
Tony
Jake
Chester
Marge
Coco
Max
Enid
NevillePeople names for cats must be "in"

Poor Orange. 😅 We use to have a kitten named Simba (yes, orange tabby) but it was only for a few days until someone our parents knew came and got him for their kid. My sister and I wanted to keep him (such a good cat) but I guess we already had enough cats around. Love Cleo, Tony, Chester & Enid. My sister has a Max (orange tabby) He certainly looks derpy, LOL!, but is one of the most affectionate cat you can ever come across. Everytime I stop over to visit this cat is always front and center and climbs/jumps up to be held. So sweet. 😊 People names for cats are certainly in. Probably goes the same for dogs too.

Cats I have had:Only two males, Jimmy (it suited him) and Toby (named by the rescue centre). Good cats.
Females: Mew-Mew (named by previous owner), Alice (the alley cat), Katie (the kitty), Dinah (because of Alice), Pixie (named by the rescue centre)My friend had a plump and charming cat named Percy because, yes, he purred a lot.

I love Alice the alley cat and Katie the kitty. Those are certainly appealing. Jimmy & Toby as well.
Seemed like Percy was quite the fitting name. 🙂 I once knew a cat named Purrmeow, who of course purred and meowed a lot. I mainly prefer human names as previously stated, but whimsical names can also be fun. (For example, Once saw a shelter cat named Kitty Purry.) Always thought that was great. 😂
